I am due to get my af on the 14th will i still get them on that date or because i had the lining taken away it has set my cycle back to the start?? as i have just had what seemed like a period. i was bleeding when i woke from having lap and only just stopped today to me it seemed like i had a period.

hope i have made sense?? sorry if i havent

Often your periods are all over the place for a while but will usually settle down

I had my Lap on July 20. It was on cd21 of a normal 35day cycle. I too had bleeding for a few days like a period but i was told this was just due to the opperation and i should still expect to get AF around my normal time if not a little bit later. Af showed up on cd 44. So she was a little over a week delayed.
Oh and watch out, af was a nasty witch when she did finally arrive!!!
    All the best for you

I had a lap, hystoscopy, dye studies, D&C (which I think is what you had - the scrape away of the lining).

I had bleeding for a few days after my lap, but that was just from the procedure. My AF turned up on schedule a couple of weeks later. I was lucky, it didn't screw up my cycles.

I had the same procedure but didn't have a d&c - I had spotting afterwards and then my period returned on time.

I had a lap, hysteroscopy, D&C and dye studies done in may, I had a bit of bleeding for a few days after and then my AF came early! I usually have 24ish day cycles but after the lap it was 20 days and was just as heavy ect as always. It actually really knocked me around as I was still trying to recover from the op...long story...then after that everything was back to my version of normal.
Good Luck! Hope she stays away for a little while so that you can recover some more.

I had a lap, hysteroscopy, dye studies and D&C and bled for about 4 days after the op - the doctor said this was more part of the operation than my period. I got my period a couple weeks after that...

    thanks everyone for your reply's

Just wondering did any of you have af like cramps after having lap?

this is the 4th lap i have had done and i have never experienced af type cramps, they woke me up at 2.30 this morning i actually got up to the toilet to check and see if af was actually there. there not really painful there like that dull ache that you get when you know that af is on the way.

maybe they are on there way, will have to sit tight and see

    thanks again for your reply's

I had some mild cramping after my lap, but never as bad as the AF cramps I used to have before the lap!
