    Success with looong cycles?

    Hi
Does anyone know what the cons of conceiving on a very long cycle are? Like egg quality etc?
I am asking because I am ovulating, but can't DTD and this will be an 83 day cycle. It's very frustrating to be LTTC and miss this opportunity! So I guess I just need some good points to make me feel better

Aww, I know it sucks. 3dpo? find anything? lol Google is not our friend!
    But I did find this:
Member: Are all cycles different or will I always have poor egg quality? Can fertility medicines cause poor egg quality?

Dr. Amos: Not all cycles have the same egg quality. You are sometimes lucky to get a 'good' egg.

Member: When is ovulation considered late?

Dr. Amos: Most doctors consider ovulation 'late' when it happens after CD 21. Many women do get pregnant with late ovulations, but chances of getting pregnant are decreased. For one, the egg is not as good when you ovulate later in the cycle. A 'not good' egg is less likely to be fertilized and become an embryo. In addition, the lining of the uterus, the endometrium, is where the fertilized egg, the blastocyst, has to attach and implant. If the endometrium is too old, it is less likely to provide sufficient nutrition for the blastocyst, so implantation is decreased. And finally, with 'late ovulation,' you ovulate less often than with earlier ovulation.

    Hey Tasha,

My cycles are long and irregular from 40 days to 136 days. I found ovulation kits and only the Digital clearblue ones useful. What i would usually do is if i see a bit of CM i would test.

I also charted just to pin point that i did ovulate.

for a few cycles i was so sure we would have caught the egg! did everything right but as you said my egg quality might have been poor and i put it down to maybe my egg didnt last the full 12 hrs (how else would i explain it right?)

Im hoping you all the best hun oxoxo

Thanks M2! I reckon that's why we haven't been able to fall PG for so long. I have ran out of OPK's but I am sure I am ovulating. I know that distinct pain, but no CM. Never have any fertile CM (which is another reason why we cant conceive I think) Hope your doing well xx
