    Superovulation

I just got back from my FS appointment and he has diagnosed me with PCOS because of my irregular cycles. There is no problem with blocked tubes as I have managed to conceive (but no take home baby). So he suggested we try 'superovulation' which is IUI (I think) He explained that I will have injections to release a few eggs instead of one and then they will inseminate with DH sperm.
I had more BT's and DH is having another SA, and I am seeing the FS again in 6 weeks. Is this when we will start? I forgot to ask! He said 1 in every 5 procedures ends in a baby, so pretty good odds I reckon. Although from what I've read on here it doesn't seem to be all that successful.

    Does this sound pretty standard?

Yay looks like the ball is rolling. That is what I am doing. Superovulation just means making many eggs. So he sent you straight to injectables+iui and not clomid +iui first? I start inject+iui in 2 weeks. I wonder why you have to wait 6 weeks? For the test results? Best of luck with it. The success rates for IUI depend highly on the reasons for doing it, whether you use injects or clomid, whether you trigger (you will with injects), if there is MFI, and if you are unexplained. 20% seems right for you. Yeah, he said my tubes are fine, uterus is fine, cervix all fine. I already had some blood work for him from GYN and GP and some scans too. I told him I had clomid for 6 months and ovulated every time, but he didn't mention it in future treatment. Maybe because Of my crazy Day21 prog results?
I still had a few questions, but i forgot to ask! How often do you need to have appointments?

Ahh that's probably why you went to injectables. I see him three times a cycle, once CD2 for the planning, once CD10 for an ultrasound, once on O day for the insemination, and I see the nurse at other times for BT's if I need to. It's all included in the cycle fee.

Great I just needed to figure out how much time I will need off work.
Oh I am so excited! I feel like all the equipment is there, I just need a little help assembling IYKWIM I'm guessing my next appointment is 6 weeks because a) He is a busy man and b) He said the wait for DH to get a SA is about 3 weeks in the clinic, but I did get an appointment next week so maybe I could call and get an earlier one?

FX you can get an earlier appointment. Where are you in your cycle? I'd wait for about CD2.
