A question about taking time off for IUI cycle....

Looks like DH & I will finally commence IUI at the end of this month.

I work part-time & have a nearly 3.5 yo. The days I work DD goes to creche and my mums. My DH works full time & every second Saturday.

My boss knows we are about to commence IUI shortly & he has indicated that I may need to take time off. I actually was going to play it by ear - see how I respond to the meds & how I feel after one cycle but now I am thinking that maybe I should take up his offer. What have you done & would you do anything differently next time around?
