For those of you that HAVE had Lap done.

How long did it take to make a full recovery?

Im 4 days past, the gas pains are slowly going with each day that passes, the pains around my belly button tho are quite annyoing. I dont think I've really rested enough tbh. I get irritated just laying around. I've been doing things like walking around the house, making lunch, dinner, etc, DP wont let me do any heavy lifting or anything like that but im a bit concerned how Im going to go next week when i got back to work?

Especially wearing work pants etc I doubt im gonna be able to wear them, will have to find dresses for comfort. today we went shopping, i find after walking a bit more than i should, i tend to be in a bit more pain - curious if this is normal?

Do you think im over doing it?

Hi Naenae83 - yep, sounds like me after my lap - prob took a good 3 weeks to get my full mojo back! Did they tell you what they found in your lap?

I can't remember, sorry, but certainly within a week. But everyone is different and it partly depends on what they actually did duirng the lap. Mine was purely diagnostic and very quick.
Hope you're feelign better very soon.

    Hey erybery,

they found another cyst, endo and a closed (stenotic) cervix, so i had a bit of work done inside. they also done blue dye test, D&C & reopened my cervix

Nae, after my first one, I recovered quite quickly. Was back at work by day 5, had no shoulder tip pain (from the gas) and only a little discomfort around the incision sites. The second time I had it done I spent the following day afterwards in bed, very sore, severe shoulder tip pain and was extremely sore in the stomach. It was a good 3 wks before I was fully back to normal. It sounds like you had a fair bit done in there, so I would expect to feel sore for a while after all of that.
