Hi girls... Ultrasound today went well. One dominant follicle so the trigger injection went ahead. Isn't that a treat of a needle?! IUI tomorrow afternoon. Woo hoo!
Belinda, you must be relieved to have the iui over and done with after the interesting lead up you've had. Looks like we'll be passing the TWW together. Hoping we both end up with BFP.
Paula, Chances are higher with IVF. It's another step forward. Best wishes to you and your dh.
Polly and Nicole, doesn't time pass so slowly when you're waiting for something??!! :SAAF::SAAF:

Woo Hoo Kaydee, all the very best for IUI tomorrow.
As for the trigger....she is a B***h of a needle

Hi Girls,
I have spent the day laying on the lounge reading trashy gossip mags. DH (after performing his man duties twice!) cooked dinner and then promptly fell asleep on the lounge watching Monday night footy! I have a little bit of cramping, almost the same type of cramp as I experienced day 1 of my AF.
Polly, the speculum incident didn't hurt at all, in fact had the nurse not told me there was blood, I wouldn't have known it happened. And there was no more bleeding after DTD which is good.
NIcole, I have also been thinking for the past 24 hrs what my next step will be if this cycle is a BFN. I have decided I am willing to give the IUI one more go aswell. Did the clinic make your followup for the FS at the time of the IUI? I was told by Jessie to make an appointment for 4 weeks time. If I do this I will miss out on next month for another cycle. Think I will ring clinic tomorrow to make an appointment for day after pregnancy test.
Paula, so happy to know that you will have a new cycle buddy in Janie.
Well, I had better go wake the DH and get back to it!!! Wishing you all a wonderful night and :SAAF: for Nicole and Polly - stay away!!!
Good Night
B xx

Hey Belinda, FS rang me after the first failed cycle and asked me to call the next day and make an appointment 4 weeks from day 1 of AF.
We are due to see him next Monday if we end up with a BFN.
Good idea to ring and make the appointment, as they can be hard to see.
Have fun DTD :dance::dance:
I told DH to enjoy it while it lasted...once that window is closed its closed till next month

Goor morning ladies :hello:
Kaydee best of luck with your IUI this arvo. :D
Belinda way to go with all the DTD! Thats a fantastic effort. Best of luck for a great result in two weeks time.
Nicole, only two more sleep.. How exciting!! How you feeling?
Polly i havent had to pay anything as yet and to be honest not sure EXACTLY how much it will be but FS told me around $3500 of which i will get 80% back because ive already reached the threshold from the IUI cycle.
Hey Janie, any sign of AF yet?

Hi girls...
Paula I've started spotting this morning, so have to ring clinic once free flowing, but looks like will be today/tomorrow! Hooray!!!
Polly, I am going to MIVF at Freemasons. A standard stimulated IVF cycle costs about $2,800 up front. Once you reach safety net threshold you are out of pocket about $680. You need to be able to wear the cost until just after your cycle finishes as that is when they send you an itemised statement to take to medicare. The cost above covers everything except for the pill (if on a down reg cycle) and the Syneral (which is quite expensive at $90 for a bottle that has 60 sprays in it).
Hope you are all well
Janie xxx

Oops sorry I forgot to mention above that the other thing not covered in the IVF costs is the hospital bed for the egg retrieval. At Freemasons this cost is about $700 and RWH it is about $300. If you have good cover your private health insurance should cover this.
Sorry hope I didn't confuse!

Good afternoon ladies, :hello:

Belinda, perfect day in Sydney for a bit of BD
Kaydee, hope your IUI went well today...and have fun DTD for the next few days
Paula, great to see you checked in this morning...I am very excited that you have taken the next step and  that you get your BFP very soon.
Janie, yeahhh on AF so you can get started...it must be a strange feeling wanting her to show up..Good luck mate...

Hi Nicole,
I made a call to Castle Hill Rooms this morning re a follow up appointment if this cycle is a BFN. It amazes me how different each Dr is even when they all work for the same clinic. I won't have an appointment with my FS until day 6 of my next cycle which basically rules out a back to back cycle for me. I'm a little annoyed.
-
Hey Belinda, I too checked that if this cycle ends with a BFN and AF shows up on Thursday, my appointment on Monday will be my day 5. But I am confussed cause when they do the PG test it will only be day 26?!?!?!
-
Do any of you have private health cover for IVF.
I have private cover but need to upgrade if I want IVF cover...
Oh yeah there is also a 12 month waiting period for mine
-
Nicole, it is all to weird this cycle. My BT is on day 31 of my cycle and I have never in my life had a cycle more than 29 days. And this time I don't have to have a progesterone test as I was told my levels last time were high at 44. I guess they know what they are doing???
I have top health cover with GMHBA. I did check and it does cover me for IVF related treatment, in hospital only. I have checked with a few other health funds and it is the same with them. All your day stay procedures are covered, all clinic treatments/visits are not covered. I have had this level of cover for a number of years so I don't have to worry about the 12 months waiting period. The only thing I am looking at is changing funds to avoid any gap payments I may have to make. It seems to me that we are using one of the more expensive IVF clinics to go through and I am thinking that the DRs may charge higher.
-
Well ladies, I think I'm out this cycle.
Very light but I think she is here!!
I don't know why I was trying to be hopeful this cycle when I knew it would end in a BFN.
I hate feeling so negative and am sure I'll be fine tomorrow
-
Oh no!!!!! Hang in there Nicole. Even if you have a light bleed it can still be BFP!
-
Oh No Nicole...:(
But like Paula says, it can still be a BFP with some bleeding. It ain't over until the clinic nurse sings!!!!!!! Stay strong, and let us know what happens in the next 24 hrs
-
Finally worked up the courage to tell DH that I was spotting.
He said the same thing as you ladies that it could still be ok, and it's not over yet.
There has been no spotting since late this afternoon and no real AF pains, so I guess will have to wait and see how tomorrow morning works out.

Hey nicole,
I think i'm going to be out as well I feel quite sad and depressed and have had tummy aches so i'm pretty sure she is on the way. I'm feeling very challenged at the moment as i can't decide whether i want to do iui again or go stragiht to icsi. i'm leaning more towards the icsi and my fs said that he is cool with that because of my age. maybe i'm jumping the gun a little because she isnt here yet but i fear she is just around the corner. Really sorry to hear that it looks like you are out too. its been hard today as one of my colleauges at work has been doing various art procedures for the last 12 months and has taken a month off treatment and stims and has fallen all by herself. I am extremely happy for her but very jealous. I am sickened that i can feel this way. it seems very shallow.
