    very diaspointed

    hi,

We are on the tail end of our first stim ivf cycle and i started spotting this morning. I am due for a blood test next Friday but am pretty sure a BFN will be confirmed within the next few days. We have one frozen embie which i know it is horrible to say doesn't leave me with much hope.

Question: If i do a thaw cycle next month and it fails can i do a stim cycle the following month? Want to get another in before the end of the year.

    Hi Zap,
may be to early to tell yet. Im on my umpteenth stim cycle my blood test is due on this wed if AF doesn't show up. I asked the nurse again last week when should i expect AF if she is to show and she said 1-2 days prior to BT so im guessing you are haveing an implantation bleed - i think its too early for AF to show up for you. Goodluck - why not ring the nurse and query this one - its will make your feel better im sure.

You should ask your FS and nurses. They all seem to have differing rules. Even if you can't - you would still have time to do another stim this year.

Good luck though - don't give up yet. Positive thinking can make you feel a whole lot better. That one little frostie could be a tough little fighter!
    I will for you.

They saw to give your body a month off in between to return your body back to normal after all the hormones being pumped in. So if you get AF this time, you need to go the full month before starting next month. But saying that it depends if you do a flare cycle or a down reg. Down reg you have to be on the pill for the month before anyway, where as flare you might be Ok to have another go straight away
However, if you have done a natural thaw with no drugs, you should be able to do a stim cycle straight away
    good luck!!!!

thanks for the shoulders to cry on girls you are more help than what you all realise in here. Af started in full flow today so I rang the nurse and she recommended to stay on the cronine as some women have had what they thought was aperiod and gone on to a BFP. she did however move my blood test to Thursday and is counting today as CD1 just in case. She said there will be no problem in doing a thaw cycle this month just to be aware that some women do not ovulate the month after a drug cycle. so we will cross our fingers

Hi zap, sorry to hear that AF has showed up...it is hard to cope with the dissappointment...as I've been there...

Don't give up hope and that 1 snowbub could be just the one to give you a BFP, I say that because that's what happend to me. I was devasted when my 1st Stim cycle didn't work, my AF show up 4 days before the b/t, so I didn't even stand a chance to get my hopes up at all...then my one and only frostie the following cycle gave me a BFP!!! And it seems girls here have been having lots of success with FET, and there were 3 of us all got BFP on a FET cycle that month!

So don't give up hope, this little dissapointment might just be the pass to be successful next time around. Hang in there and good luck!
