    natural ways to assist implantation

    Hello,

I'm new to belly belly and hoping I'm posting in the right spot...

It's been a full on 2009 for me with a full on year of fertility treatment (see my ticker for why). I'm on my fifth cycle now, hoping for our fourth embryo transfer by 29 Dec. A belated Christmas pressie would be awesome!

Been doing acupuncture since Jan 09, 3 wks before our first cycle. Now also looking into other extra natural ways to assist implantation now like eating brazil nuts, drinking pineapple juice, and taking baby aspirin and in the process of my Google addiction in finding correlating answers I'm getting a bit confused as to when to start what and it's doing my head in a little, ha ha!

I'm wondering what people's thoughts are on the below natural ways to assist implantation? -

I've read pineapple juice is to be taken from day of FET for 5 days, not from concentrate. But apart from slicing a pineapple into 5 sections are there any bottles of juice in WA you could buy instead?

Can you start eating the supposed 5 brazil nuts per day before FET of only at FET for 5 days? Is taking them earlier bad for acidity levels of lining of its ok?

Can I start taking baby aspirin now or do I need to wait until closer to the FET? I'm on day 13 of my cycle, no O as on a HRT FET cycle...

    What are peoples thoughts...?

    Ok....
    Vitamin E
    Zink
False Unicorn (I found this to be quite expensive, but I know in the USA they can get it quite cheap, not sure about importing it though)
Also, Baby aspirin can help also

The suppliments DH should take also, as well as folic acid (he can skip the false unicorn) it will help is sperm to build up in numbers hand health

    Good Luck

I've also been told fresh pineapple core and strawberries I ate both in my TWW that I got my BFP at the end of.

I've heard of baby aspirin too, but I'd be a bit careful of that one. Maybe talk to your FS about it.

    HTH and good luck.

There is some recent research to say that a few nips of brandy or whicky on the day of transfer also helps.

I am pretty sure there was a thread on it a few weeks back.

Also, someone told me that having spermies in there also helps but they (the FSs) aren't sure why.

As far as I am concerned - given the stresses of any cycle any excuse to have one last drink and soem loving should be merrily embraced.

that this one is the best Christmas present ever.

Not sure if this is of any help but the sharkey"s healing centre on the gold coast specialise in reproductive health, they've been known to help ppl that had no luck with IVF etc. They have a website and you can do all consultations, charting and ordering online. The Naturopath's will even chat on the phone if need be.

Ok, y'all are going to think Im crazy but we have some 'traditions' in my family and they seem to work. I disregarded them until my last cycle which resulting in both my little embys implanting.

The first is... plane ride. My aunty, mother and grandmother ALL became pregnant very soon after going on a plane ride. I went to sydney (from Goldie) right after my last transfer...

The next is a pint of guiness. I had one the day after transfer and then a week later to be on the safe side. What can I say. Its the Irish in us. Any excuse but in this case IT WORKS.

I asked my mother why the plane ride (she had been nagging at me to do it since the first cycle) and she said "it must unblock the plugs". Dont have a clue what that actually means but it seems shes right. *deep sigh* I hate that shes ALWAYS right lol.

    Hello,

Had my latest scan today and my lining hasn't budged in the last week so since I am going to Newcastle (from Perth) on 7 Jan 2010 and transfer would be 2 days before which my husband isn't happy about we are now extending things until 12 Jan when we get back. So I'll be on my progynova until then hoping and praying my lining sorts itself out and thickens nicely. On my return hopefully the scan will show a good level for transfer to be approved otherwise it's 4 days of primogen injections to help things along... (done these before, ouch!)

Been taking baby aspirin (Cartia low dose aspirin from chemist) and I've found that I'm feeling ill each night with it so might have try to it at lunchtime as it might be interfering with my epilepsy meds taken at night. Wondering if it's had anything to do with no lining thickening or I'm just overreacting... hmmm do I continue with it or not?

Thanks for the tips girls. Every things worth a try I say, especially when it's our fifth cycle now!

Well I went on a plane over east in Aug/Sept and then a new cycle started Oct and that didn't work so maybe that was too far apart time wise.. ?

This time I am on a plane over east probably 1-2wks before transfer, depending on my lining thickness... fingers crossed eh!

I must say I have never heard of a plane unplugging things, but everything helps so hopefully it works :-)
