Generally the tax rate is about 15% on that sort of payment. I think net is around 1002 per fn.
I'm trying to gauge how much I will get for PPL per fortnight, after tax? I will nt have any other income during this time. My taxable income is generally about the $48-$50k mark (I work part time when not on may leave). I'm trying to gauge how much my DH will need to add to my payments for the mortgage iykwim.

Thanks BG!
It's good to know it should at least cover the mortgage![]()
I have just received my first payment and it was $1054.80
Thanks Liviam![]()
Hi guys im wondering the same. I spoke to the lady at centrelink and she sais its bases on what my company will tax me.
Is this correct? My income for this financial year is virtually nothing but if they take my last years tax bracket it will be 37%
it is based on the company taking the tax rate out - they look at fortnightly entitlement as to how much they should take. it's looked at based on whether it's paid alongside mat leave etc.
Thanks BG!!
I get paid nothin from the company so im hoping they only tax me 15%
Ill have to wait for next week to see![]()
15% is pretty much the standard if you're being paid PPL alone.
I got $1012.
i got $1032. with no other mat leave.
