My dh has spoken to his union representative about 5 months ago to see what he got in order of Parental leave.. The rep said that he would be able to take his sick days as leave and if he wanted longer then he would have to use his holiday pay.
Dh has only JUST spoken to his boss about this.. with only 6 days till due date :rollseyes:
His boss said.. 'you have lots of holidays up your sleeve, so just take them, dont take your sick days.'
Dh has been with this company for 2 years now and he has 5 weeks holidays, and 3 weeks sick leave accrued.. if that makes sense.. He pays the union fees himself, but his boss does not let him take RDO's because they cost him.. which is stupid I think.
SO.. does anybody know what union workers are entitled to regarding parental leave?
