Woohoo Mumma T that's awesome news! Congratulations and I hope the job is fantastic for you.
Good luck with the grant application krysalyss! I totally understand re the homesickness. I just spent the last hour thinking about applying to a department that I already knew was completely wrong for me just because it would get me close to family and back in Aus.
Good luck leckert, I hope you get lots of calls soon! My son has had a relief teacher for the last year. Hope you get a similar long term relief job.
AFM I started trying to work this month (not actually employed at the moment but trying to finish my thesis and apply for jobs) but have had very little success. I'm still taking DS2 with me everywhere so I'm not always very productive and he spent 2 weeks in and out of hospital and is only just fully recovered. I guess I give it another week and see if I can manage to be a bit more productive now that things are back to 'normal', but I'm going to start looking into childcare possibilities. I really don't want to (both due to cost and cause I'd like to stay with him) but I'm also going to need to get some work done...
That's great, MummaT!!
I've got work to do this weekend :( Wish me luck
Woohooo go mama t
Wysiwyg that's good to know. My oldest goes to prep next year so I just have to get through this year I guess mind you he is going to a private school but it's still ALOT cheaper than daycare
Hi Mummies!!!
I thought I'd pop in to say hi!
I am a working Mummy, doing shift work which definitely messes with my body clock, my attitude and my parenting sometimes.
It's hard to let someone else help raise your kids, but I do love my job at least.
Looking forward to getting to know you all!!!
MummaT- wonderful!
Mum2 and Krysalys - yes, my response ended up being (I hope) passionate. One was experience in or knowledge of children's literature, other was experience managing very large events. My experience is small to medium.
