    Exclamation Quick - mince recipes!!

    Eeek help!!

I was going to do some porcupine ball things tonight - but forgot my mum had taken my only casserole dish - so I have nothing to put it in!!!!

I don't have any spag bog sauce (or pasta!) to do spaghetti bog.

Any other things I can do that are reasonably quick and easy!!! Have to have it ready for the kids too (so can't be too spicy for miss m)

    PLEASE HELP!!!!

Ummm, what about asian style meatballs and fried rice? Easy and quick as.My kids both love it.

I just add garlic, coriander, sweet chilli sauce to the mince and then cook them in a fry pan (i put the lid on to start with, kinda steams them a bit and makes the outside kinda...I dunno, kinda sticky but really tasty!).

Fried rice just cook the rice, add whatever diced vegies you want, some soy sauce, beaten egg or two, bacon, done.

    How about a shepherd's/cottage pie

Just fry some onion, add the mince and some different sauces - worcestershire, tomato, bbq, add some diced carrots peas. Top with some mashed potato and grated cheese. (not as good as baking it though I guess)

If you've got some puff pastry, you could just do some savoury mince pasties.

    What about taco's or burritos?

    Savoury mince with noodles?

    Jacket potatoes with mince?

I do my porcupines in a big shallow saucepan on the stove - just simmer them for about 1/2 hour in a tin of tomato soup and equal amount of water.

do u have a tin of tomateos? and some dried herbs? and some brown sugar? and tomate paste?

mix it all in just like u do with a bottle of pre made stuff and serve on rice.

ooh I can do rissoles - they'd be like salmon patties yes? I've done them before but not rissoles.

I'm so uneducated with cooking.. LOL

Hmm what if you don't have coriander? I can do the rice - not a problem.

Hey, what if I just mix up the mince in the rice and add vegies.. is that doable? Would it even be nice.. LOL

What about making some small meatballs (fry them up). Cook some pasta. Throw over a can of chopped tomatoes and the meatballs. Add cheese and VOILA!
