    Shepherd's Pie

Anyone got a nice simple recipe for Shepherd's Pie? I have some diced goat meat that I was planning to use for it.
    TIA

We had this for dinner last night! I just throw in whatever I have - diced tomatoes, bit of stock, diced carrots, onion and a good splash of worstershire sauce. I top mine with a sweet potato and regular potato mash with a bit of parmesan mixed through.

If you go to coles website they have recipe there.

I have made it before with mince, crushed tomatoes, oxo cube, garlic, chilli paste, oregano, frozen or fresh vegies. wosreshire sauce and some gravox mixed up

    cook it all up

top with mashed potato or combo or plain and sweet potato some grated cheese and bake in oven

I'd blend the meat, herbs and an onion with a little gravy (in the food processor) then top with mashed potato and bake. Can't get much simpler than that!

    This is what I do:

Brown mince (or whatever you are using) and onion together
Throw in couple of teaspoons of chicken stock (pwder), 1 tab tom paste, water to cover and 1 tab wostershire sauce
Add 2 cups frozen mixed vege -the small diced one or whatever you have (carrots, peas, beans, corn are good) and 1 can diced tomatoes, simmer for 10-20 mins.
While this is simmering, dice and cook about 4 large potatoes (depending on size of dish you are making).
If the sauce is still runny - thicken with cornflour blended with water - don't make too thick though.
Put in baking dish and put mashed potato over top. I sometimes put shredded cheese on the top too if I want to be extra indulgent!
Bake until nice and brown (you can put knobs of butter on top to help achieve this if you don't care about the fat!).
