    Anti D Antibodies present

    Hi
Is anyone else on here Rh- and has become sensitised to Anti D. I just got my first blood test results back and the antibodies showed up as positive. I had the AntiD injections during my first pregancy but I am thinking they didn't work as bub was Rh+ blood type.

Thanks anyone for a reply of info

Hi. I havn't gone to check those antibodies (my bad, I forgot to go in for the bloods and my doc hasn't stressed the issue) but I am AB- and DS is A+ so also had my Anti D shots. I have heard of situations where it has caused an issue. They try to keep bub in as long as possible so sometimes they have to give inutero (?sp) blood transfusions to the baby. It usually does not cause a problem until a bit later in pregnancy and in some cases, when the blood transfusions are no longer enough, they will deliver the baby early.

With todays medical advances, most babies survive will no ill consequence HTH
