My SIL is 18 wks pregnant with her third child, she has had very severe morning sickness and has just found out that she has antibodies in her blood. The specific name of the condition is Anti-Jka (Kidda). I would just like to know if anyone has experienced this or anything similar? Her GP has never heard of the condition.
sorry hun, never heard of it, nothing even comes up in google! must be pretty rare for the doc not to have any knowledge of it, i hope it doesnt cause any complications.
xx
Finally I found some else that is going through the same thing. I am 27 weeks and have anti-jka (KIDD). My OB does not know much about it and keeps telling me it is not a big deal but now my titers have started to increase now I think he is worried. I have to go for an ultrasound in two weeks to check the blood supply to bubs brain - if this is at an increased level they will have to do an IBT (blood transfusion while bub is inside) and good chance she will have to be delivered early.
I dont know alot about it as my doctor can not help me and can not find anyone with too much information to provide.
I am also on my 3rd baby and have BAD morning sickness - I wonder if related to the anti JKA ?????
