    Bit worried!!! TMI ALERT

I went to the loo before and my wee was bright pink!! If DH was home I would have just jumped in the car and gone straight to the hospital. I will see if it comes back next time I have to go. I checked my cervix, it was closed and only had normal CM so I am sure the pink was with my wee.

it sounds like a UTI (urinary tract infection), like cystitis, which causes a little blood in your pee that makes it pink. (just an idea)

Off to the dr's for you in the AM sweetness, just to see if it is or to be checked out

Was going to add, have you eaten beetroot lately??

i dont know if it is true but apparently (i have read), in pregnancy your body cant break down beetroot so if you eat it, it can turn your wee pink!

I SO dont know how much weight is in it, but lol i thought i would mention it and if anything else it gave me a smile!!!!!!

If i was closer id be happy tp help.. hope you can find someone!

(p.s why are we up??? its 2.30am lmao)

I just googled it for you, looks like it is legit. Beetroot especially in pregnancy turns your wee pink!

Well, there ya go..... I reckon thats it.. cause it wasnt painful was it? if it was uti id say youd have pain... (mind you i never get pain with UTI's only pulling feeling).

Its fascinating to read, have a squiz when you have a moment

    Beeturia (Pink Pee)

Be aware that ingestion of beetroot can colour urine red and also discolour stools, causing the unwary to hot-foot it to their GP for urgent tests. The pinkness of your pee depends on the acidity of your stomach; some people don't see pink pee afterwards and some do (approximately 10 - 14%). If you don't see pink pee then your stomach is at the strongly acidic end of the normal range - if you do see pink pee then your stomach is at the less acidic end of normal, and the colour hasn't been broken down on the way through your gut.

Beeturia is a harmless occurrence and you do not have to exclude beetroot from your diet if you are affected by it. If you don't normally have pink-stained pee after consuming beetroot, you might like to try an experiment. Try taking some antacid1 tablets, then eat beetroot. Remember to look at what you're doing the next time you visit the toilet. That should satisfy your curiosity.

If your urine is coloured pink or red and you haven't ingested any beetroot, this is called haematuria and requires medical investigation to find out the cause.

And of course it is.. damn daylight savings!!!
