Cholestatis continuing after Pregnancy?

Before I found out I was pregnant, I had a period of several weeks where I had generalised itching all over and I could not work it out.

Then found out I was pregnant, but this stage the itching had gone but reappeared later and due to slightly elevated bile salts they diagnosed Cholestatis.

The itching stopped as soon as DD was born, however in the last week it has come back, and is the same as it was during pregnancy. At first I thought I was pregnant again, however I did a test and it was negative and I've had some bleeding that is most likley AF, however much less than I normally would have. Could it be this or more likley something else?

Going to go to the GP this week sometime, I am really worried it is something permernant, going bonkers itching again

The itching can be a sign of liver function. Go to the GP and get a liver function test. Is the itch on your palms?

It was at some points during pregnancy. Now it is the all over itch I had during pregnancy, as well as some itching on the feet. Worse on my limbs than torso. So bizzare it suddenly started. I'll do that thanks.

It may just be hives/urticaria. I got them whilst pregnant with DS1 and they come and go. Get it checked anyway.

Keep away from heat - have cool showers, avoid the sun. It makes the itch worse.

Thanks, I'll do that, I have no rash though so generally I get looked at like I'm crazy
