did they say there was any relationship between the fibroid and the placenta tearing or just that they noted both?

ihad a fibroid found at my first u/d for my now 3yo, it caused no prbs. sometimes they can implode when you are pregnant or change size.

Not sure on the tear, but I think a few people on BB have had something similar.

I'm not sure about the tear but they discovered a fibroid during an ultrasound. It however was only small and had noo impact on my pregnancy and birth. They said fibroids will enlarge during pregnancy cos they feed off your hormones but then shrink once you have given birth. I am yet to find out what it is doing now...but it's only been 7 months! Find out if it is related but I think it won't be. What causes a placenta tear?

The doc didnt say if they where related, he just said thats what they found.

He didnt say what might have caused the tear. He was a bit blazay about it really.

Hmmm I'm not sure bout the tear but I think someone on here would have some good advice for you!
The fibroid tho I wouldn't be worried about...just find out where it is tho because it can interfere with birthing your bubba!!!!

Even if they are low (fibroid) they can move away. Mine was right on the edge of my cervix, and I had a late scan to check it but they couldnt even find it at that u/s.
I had a v. birth with no issues.
