My sister had a fibroid that I understand was quite large. Wherever it was positioned, it meant she had to have a CS and it had to be the classic cut, ie. up and down rather than across the bikini line.
I don't think she had any abnormal pains and no problems otherwise. She went to full term. Enjoy your pregnancy, it's such an exciting time.
