Ok...trying not to panic! Did the shopping today and bought 'Drum Stick' icecreams...have been craving them. Just started one and it didn't taste right...decided to check the expiry date...JULY 08!!!! I only licked the top bit and didn't have much...should I be worried???? Thanks for your advice!
in fact, i'm known to be a little bit of a fiesty biatch when it comes to stuff like that - there is NO reason why out of date food should be on the shelves at all!
i'd prolly write to drumstick manufacturers too - cos they will have someone that can go through the shop and kick their butts too... but i'm a trouble maker like that... lol
Ellie - you'll be fine hun. *puts on microbiologist hat* The funny taste would be from the milk/cream going sour. It's highly unlikely that any bacteria would grow if they were kept frozen, not many bugs grow at cold temperatures (the pasteurisation etc of the milk used in the icecream would kill them).
