    Pinkish Urine?

I'm 25 weeks pregnant, have noticed that in the last day or so my pee is a slight pinkish colour? I had gastro last week and since I have then increased the water I drink but two or three times in the last day I have noticed there is definitlely a pink colour...my last urine test was 4 weeks ago through my OB and everything was fine. Is this just normal? I don't remember having pink pee during my last pregnancy!

I'd ask my care provider about that, it doesn't sound quite right to me.
My first thought was maybe a uti?

It is quite normal for women to have some blood in their urine at various stages of their menstrual cycle, so I would think quite normal for it to occur during pregnancy.
Are you having any stinging, itching when you wee? Or weeing more than usual? Does it smell?
If not, then I wouldn't worry too much, and mention it at your next appointment. If you are worried I would call the midwives at your local hospital.

I would always check with a doctor if you have blood in urine. I can be nothing, could be a uti, but it's also a can be a symptom of something more sinister. Very unlikely, but a relative if mine has been diagnosed with bladder cancer a few weeks ago and this was the only symptom.
Sorry, I don't want to freak you out but it's better to be safe and it's something people aren't always aware of.

Thanks for the replies, was hoping to bring it up with my midwife, was meant to be seeing her today but was told only yesterday that my appointment was 'dropped out of the system' and they can't fit me in for another 2 weeks! Not happy about that, will have to go to my normal GP I think. I have also had braxton hicks contractions on and off since last night and have had some light spotting this morning...wonder if it is all connected and if I should be worried?

I agree with going to the gp. Sooner rather than later. If nothing else it will give you some peace of mind.

Went to the maternity ward tonight after calling ahead and explaining I was having BH, light spotting & possible UTI. Was checked by a midwife and OB, everything seems okay but she thinks it could be a UTI which is irritating the uterus and causing the BH contractions. Had an ultrasound and the baby is good, did a urine test and should get the results back tomorrow. Baby is head down (does that seem early?) and the doc said it is not likely to cause any further problems but has told me to come back if there are any further signs of pre-term labour etc.

Thanks for the concern, had the ultrasound today and baby is fine, cervix is well and truly closed so not pre-term labour which is good. The braxton hicks have almost stopped today and no more spotting either. Only think the ultrasound technician noticed was a 'venous lake' in an unusual position behind the placenta but she doesn't think it would cause any issues. The other results say I don't have an infection either. Guess it was just one of those random pregnancy things!
