    Low tsh?? - positive news?

    Hi,

Well I spoke to my OB this morning and he clarified my results for me that I did not really know. My TSH is very low (0.05) and my t4 is at the low end of normal and my t3 is high.

He tried to make me feel better but I ended up a blubbering mess and had to leave work. I am exhausted, drained and very worried about the baby. I am 17 weeks on Wednesday and have to wait until next Thursday to have another blood test done. He has reduced my natural thyroid hormone by half. He also said he wishes I was not on that, I have been on it however for over a year and he knew I was on it when we started this cycle of IVF.

OMG why is this soo hard. I though waiting 6 years to fall pregnant was hard enough and going through 5 rounds of ivf was tough but apparently now the worrying just continues?

Has anyone else had thyroid issues but had a healthy beautiful baby, that is all I am hoping for, like we all are!

    Thanks, Bronze

    Low tsh?? - positive news?

    Hi Bronze,
I am still under going testing but looks like my pregnancy earlier this year (m/c and d&c due to blighted ovum ) may have triggered my thyroid to go hyper!
DH and I were planning to TTC, but this isn't the right time, just been made redundant and then this!!
Yes the worries continue, I get that.
A lady at my old work was 27 weeks when told she has a slightly hyperthyroid. Lucky hers seemed to correct itself without further treatment.
Let me know how you go on your journey.
