Im new to this site and would really appreciate some much needed advice
I am a lupus sufferer and have been for most of my life..2 years ago i was put on warfarin indefinitely..and now i am pregnant.
I have been changed over to Fragmin injections twice a day to replace the Warfarin..
Has anyone experienced a pregnancy who is in the same boat? if so i would love to hear your story..I dont know what to expect so a little advice would come in handy
Hi, I don't have lupus, but I do have an auto-immune condition which is a particularly nasty form of arthritis. We managed my condition with prednisone while I was pregnant.
Is lupus one of those conditions that is likely to go into remission during pregnancy?
Anyway, I wanted to welcome you and congratulate you on your pregnancy. I have an aunt and a cousin with lupus, but don't really know a lot about it. How are your specialists - are they understanding and available if you have questions?
Hello, thank you for your reply..
I am currently in remission and have been for a while i just got news that they want me to stop plaquenil throughout the pregnancy..which means ill have no form of treatment for my lupus even though it really doesnt need to be treated at this point in time.. i guess im just worried about a flare.
With ur auto immune disorder how did ur pregnancy go?
The specialist are really understanding but as i am only 5 weeks pregnant i have so many questions i would like answers too..
