    Question Retroplacental clot

Hi I am 26 this is my 6th pregnancy, I have had 2 live births and 3 m/c's. I am 17 weeks along and from the beginning was told I had idiopathic thrombocytopenia because of a low platelet count, now at 16 weeks I went in to the doctor because a small amount of bleeding, He told me that I had some thickening behind the placenta, and while reading the paperwork after I left saw he put retroplacental clot? I have been doing some searching online about this with some scary results, should I be worried has anyone else gone through this and things turned out ok?

    Hi
I didn't have a retroplacental clot (which means the clot is completely behind the placenta) but I did have a clot at the edge of the placenta (ie partially behind). It terrified me form 8 weeks until 16 weeks. I had to ban myself from the internet because of all the disaster stories. My OB told me that they mostly fix themselves prior to 20 weeks. Sure enough, mine did and I'm now 21 weeks and all is going well.
