UTI in pregnancy

I am worried at the moment as i have a suspected UTI and hoping i can hear some positive stories if anyone has had one during pregnancy.

I had lower abdominal cramps from 930am yesterday, which progressivly got worse and went into my lower back.
By 3pm i went to my gp, who did a urine test and my temp was slightless up and bp slightly high first read and normal 2nd read.
he beleives i have a UTI and got me on AB (keflex) straight away.

the cramps continued.
thismorning i woke with less cramping but it started again about 10am.
I rang the hospital who advised to take panadol and call back in 40min, if i still have pains to come in.
last wee was a weird colour browny/pink with a few specks of blood.... she said it does sound like a UTI (my urine sample from yesterday wont have results until tomorrow)
i know things should be ok but cant help worrying, hoping the AB have started working but think i might be heading into hospital to be checked again

No advice either but I hope the antibiotics kick in soon, I would go to the hosp to get checked out, if only to put your mind at ease xxx

Hope you are feeling better hun, if there was visible blood in your urine and you still have back pain I would go to the hospital just so they can rule out a kidney infection and to reassure yourself everything is ok for bubs

I have had a UTI early pregnancy with my first did not sound as bad as your describing had frequency, burning and dark urine but not brown or flecs. I agree with Sararose if it continues best to go in and check its not the kidneys.

I have been in hospital since 1230 today, my urine sample from yesterday came back negative for UTI. The ob has come in and thinks it may be a kidney stone, have had a needle for the pain and just been resting. Might be here overnight
