The normal Blood Glucose is 4 - 8 mmol/l. Although your numbers are not outside normal, your one hour one is close, and probably given your previous history of GD, they are being cautious and taking it seriously. I think they also treat GD more aggressively than non GD as it can cause a lot of problems quickly for you and baby. I would speak to your doctor about it again when you see him and let him know what you have read and ask him to explain to you why you are being treated as if you have GD when you don't feel that it is so.
