Hi I am currently pregnant with baby#2 early, early did i mention early(but high hopes). My first son was born with Gastroschisis (bowel outside the body) It was a terrible pregnancy and first year, but all is great now. I have asked the doc for tips on how i could stop it happening like perhaps quit work which is strenuous or take these magic pills that keep your baby's vital organs inside the body??????
I am super dooper scared about it happening again. So i was hoping to hear from someone who knows something or someone who has done it all again (having another baby after a high risk pregnancy) like this crazy person.:
Sorry but not a high risker here either but there are many people that go on to have normal babies after hight risk ones so and I hope this is a H&H 9months
Wishing you a Happy and Healthy Nine months.
Remember that each pregnancy is different as is each baby xoxox Follow your OBs advice and i hope everything works out for you xoxox
I didnt have a bub born with the condition your bubba had, but I did have a prem baby. I know kind of the stressed out feeling you are going through. Just wanted to say my two experiences were soooooo different. DS was born at 32 weeks, DD was born at 41+4. I did the whole what can I do differently? but I learnt that implies I did something wrong the first time, and I didnt, you didnt. It was just bad luck. All you can do is be the best healthy pregnant mumma you can be, eat right, rest lots, exercise gently and be kind to yourself. most importantly remember to breath. There will be times that you get so worried you will forget to breath, just take deep deep breaths.
GL hun, all the best for a happy and healthy pregnancy and a wonderful birth of your beautiful bub.
Hey, mz. You know that I had my daughter with gastro in December.
I'm scared sh*tless about having another gastro-baby. Its a 1 in 20 chance that it'll happen again according to the Women's website..
Unfortunatly there's nothing you can stop it happening again, i wish there was. I'm not pregnant as yet, but I'm terrified.
Can you ask your OB to send you to a bigger hospital with better Ultrasound machines so they can see if bub has gastro earlier??
I know that at my local hospital they can't see it til at least 16 weeks, I didn't find out til 20.
I'm here for you. I really am. Don't have FB so I can't really add you. But I'm always here if you want to talk about your fears and about your son's experience.
Thanks well i will keep you posted. Gotta wait 5weeks till my 12 weeks scan thanks for the ear and i just hate the waiting and not knowing not that it would change anything im still gonna go through it but im just scared its hard...........
I know, it sucks. My advice to you would be to go on Facebook and join Avery's Angels.
Its a gastro support page and its fantastic. There's so many people on there with Gastro-bubs and even people going through a second pregnancy having the same fears as you.
Its an awesome group to be in. It helped me alot when I was on facebook.
