Will my swollen hands go back to normal after labour?

Or is that just wishful thinking?

My hands have puffed up a fair bit in the last few weeks. I can no longer wear my wedding ring and I feel a bit naked without it!

How long after birth can I expect my hands to go back to normal? Or is it just not gonna happen.......?

    Cheers,
    Fiona

This happened to me with DS and it took 4-6 weeks for the puffiness to go completely. But yes...your hands will unpuff, I promise.

I ended up with a bit of carpal tunnel in my first pregnancy... but quite soon after the birth the swelling had gone down... within a few days I guess... I'm pretty sure it was gone before we went home from hospital.

my legs, hands, arms and face all returned to normal within a week of birth, but, it did take a while for me to be able to put my rings back on evn though I weighed less AB (After baby) than I did BB (before baby) I think my knuckles have stretched or something, my feet are still a size bigger too!

Oh yes, the feet are always a size bigger. Everyone told me they would be and I didn't believe them until after DD1 was born and my feet have never returned to the size they were!

All my swelling went down when my milk came in.
