    Eye burn from solarium

DD's boyfriend was using some hand held solarium thingy today WITHOUT goggles (don't worry I have already done the mother lecture) and his eyes are now red and really really sore.
I put some eye drops in for him but what else would help ???????

what kind of drops did you use? Probably needs more of a moisturising eye drop/ointment like lacrilube. What a very very silly Boy! very very bad for eyes- may need a follow up with an optometrist because that can have permanent damage.

probably some panadol/pain reliever or some local eye drops and some time with them shut. THat's pretty serious though. I'd probably have him off to the doc/local ED.

Yeah, I'd take him to the ED because often with that kind of thing you can't see all the damage on the outside because you burn internally. I've heard people say they are like microwaves and will cook you from the inside out so if he's burned his eyes I would be worried. But I be he'll never do it again though.
