Question gall stones..? or maby not..

tuesday and wednesday i was really sick had upper abdominal and the pain radiated up under my rib cage.. to the point where i couldnt even move to relieve it get comftable and it made me throw up it was so bad.. i had dd in bed luckily as i was in so much pain.. tried everything showering to relieve it nothing lasted all night till the early hours of the morning where i was so exhausted and had to get up to dd. yesterday wasnt as bad had a few "attack" or "waves" of the pain but nothing like it was that night. today im feeling alot better now its feeling like period pain.. and my backs really sore(not sure if that has anything to do with it..

i gooogled a few symptoms and im thinking i may have gallstones..but i dont no..has anyone had it that could tell me about their experience with it or shed some light on what they think it is..

i will go to the doctors if i experience another round of it praying i dont tho

The severe pain up under the ribs radiating thru to the back is quite typical of gallstones, but it might be other things.

For example, I had an attack of "gallstone" pain (ie billiary colic) after taking codeine, ie it was a drug reaction.

Best to go to the dr and they will probably order an ultrasound to take a look. It's not the sort of severe pain that you want to muck around with.

My gall srone pain was like I had pulled all the muscles in my back and front and I couldnt lie or sit ot stand and the shower only helped if it was boiling hot.

I had a few attaches after I had DD and then I had a very bad attach that lasted days and I went to the drs and they got me an ultrasound and I was put into hospital that day and have my gall bladder out 3 days latter!

Its a terrible pain - infact ast times it was worse that labour!

I would get to your GP and get to the bottom of it.

BC, what happened? Did you go to the dr? Have you had any more bouts?

Yup, sounds like gallstones to me! Just like what my attacks were. I ended up in the 24hr Dr the first time as I didn't know what was going on, was 3 weeks post partum and the pain was worse than labour!

I hope you've seen your GP, as it would be bad if you had another attack if DD was awake and needing you. In the mean time, following a very very low fat diet is meant to help prevent further attacks...
