Hi Ladies;)
Well feeling heaps better each day,my energy is slowly coming back.
My babaies are moving around so much these days its a great feeling.
Hi Luv....How you feeling?do you feel pregnant? no i havent been using creams lucky i have no stretched marks. What cream can you get for helping it stretch?thats what i need coz it feels like my skin cant keep up with my babies growing. How much longer do you have in Uni? you must be a expert on pregnancy by now hey.
Hi Katt....Im sure you will have a much luck as us on IVF,whats the prices like over there?i heard there going up next yr do you know by how much?
Hi Mumof6.....Hmmm you have been rather quiet on here.Babe will you be allowed to transfer 2 fresh at your next cycle?
Hi Onemore.....Any plans on more babies? I would love to see a new pic of your little girl.
Hi Mummy25.....Haha dont be to hard on yourself we all put on weight in winter, theres not much else to do but eat hey.Are you still going ahead with IVF next yr?
Hi Kiya.....Babe hows family life? hows your dad? give my love to everyone ok.

hi katt, i am second year nursing. I have got the jist of uni now. I have been there 4 years.... it can be very daunting...arent you going for you appt this week? I will check back in tommorrow with the bt levels.
dearmum, don't know if I am expert at pregnancy- they don't always stick, but I know what goes on which can be a bummer too.... Cause i know that until I see the uterus with a viable sac, I wont be convinced. I have this end semester and one more year of uni, but I intend on going post grad.... I will eventually be a midwife...Depending on your skin type, I would suggest that cocoa butter, or even vasaline, just any cream... it keeps the elastin well moisturised and helps after babies too.
-
hi everyone how are you? how are all the babies?
luvchildren, wow very game being a midwife would be a wonderful job tho very hard good luck im sure you will be great. yes we have our appointments this week we see dr soo tomarrow morning and westmead on thrusday morning so will know more tomarrow on how much we're gonna be up for cost wise. keeping my fingers crossed you get a good result with your test today im sure your levels will be good.
hi dearmum, yeah the price of ivf did go up here and it went up from july and its now $15000 up here thats why we're going thru westmead way cheaper for us.
gotta run take care talk to you all later

lotsa questions
Hi ladies. I am from the VI. Friends call me Kizzie. I am 36, and have been a single mom of 4 kids until recently. I am a newlywed... We are now talking about having children of our own, but I got my tubes tied about two years ago. I am worried that my ovaries are shriveling up, my age is against me, and if I do a reversal I won't have much luck, not to mention we aren't wanting more than one or two more children afterwards. We are now in a debate between reversal and IVF...Any pros and cons to help me out?
-
Vinewlywed... Welcome. What state do you live in?
I had the reversal and after 12mths of trying no luck.
So we did IVF and it worked straight away.
Its a personal choice really but the reversal can be expensive and may not work.
Also there is a hight risk of having an eptopic pregnancy after the reversal.
There are a couple of cheap IVF clinics in Sydney one at westmead and one at RPA.
$1,450 for the complete cycle drugs everything.
Good luck and looking forward to getting to know you.
-
I live in the United States Virgin Islands. Is that 1450 in U.S. dollars? It is definitely not that cheap here....Actually they both range about $6000.

I am glad that I found this site. You all seem really supportive and as I get ready to go through this process, it is nice to have a forum like this, especially since I don't want to stress my husband too much while my mind meanders and I try to find out information to help us in this decision.
My first concern is how successful is it to get pregnant after having a tubal? I mean I have read that the operation effects blood flow to the ovaries and hormone levels and so there may be a decreased chance through IVF, is that just a myth, a scare tactic? I hope so.....
P.S. I would looooove to come to Australia for my procedure, but tht may be a bigger expense than we can take on right now. I have to see if my insurance will even cover the IVF...
Thank you ladies for starting this though.
-
Vinemlywed...No sorry thats Aussie dollars.
I think all of us in this thread are from Australia.
Theres a wide range of prices over here in Australia.
T/R being the most expensive.
Hi to everyone else....Sorry havent post much but theres not much that goes on in here anymore.
So Ive been posting on a new site, trader I know but I love getting on and having a chat
to perople in the same boat.
Mummy25... My blasties did make the thaw but they didnt stick.
Hows things with you???
-
katt, dr soo is ok. he was my dr too. I didn't end up have the bt today cause i was really run off my feet. my little boy was up the whole night before with an ear infection. Uni always tires me too. I look forward to being a midwife although i am peeved I go through a uni that did just the bachelor of midwifery. I hope that your appointment goes well.
Vinewlywed, welcome.I have read in the states there are some good drs for reversal. It really does depend though whether you had your tubes cut, tied, burned or fishie clips. Fishie clips usually give the best outcome after a reversal. It also depends on the length of tubing removed. I paid 10k to have my reversal and have ended up doing ivf because they had cut too much off the length of the tube. I did however fall pregnant, all ending ectopically- where they would fertilize on the end of the fimbrae but never make it down the fallopian tube- so miscarriage would occur. This happened to me 4 times. Its always good to research. maybe somewhere closer you does it cheaply. In my my state in ivf costs 8000 aussie dollars.
em, share you.....never......lol

mumofsix: yeah I am fine and we start ivf in july 2010 (when we have the money) I soo wish I could do it now but money is stopping us as my DF no longer works he is a carer for our boys now.
centrelink gave him a carer pension then took my carer allowance off me but it looks like they have given it to him (argg the stress I thought they took it off us all together and i was like how will we pay for there medication.....)
we are on a tight budget now and it will get worse if they up the rates again....
next year when we get our bonus money we will do ivf then use the rest for our kids needs and $1000 for baby stuff should I fall pregnant (if its twins well Ill have to buy some before and some after the birth)....
Im trying to quit smoking and its hard im ok but then i get so angry so I think i need patches to calm the cravings, little critters in my brain say smoke smoke smoke and i get upsett and stressed easily but im determined to do it...
take care and chat soon...
