Katt... people say the same to me when i tell them how much i weigh.
They reckon i dont look like i weigh that much, or there just trying to be nice either way im over weight amd i know it.
Im right on there weight limit. My fs always weighs me everytime i go in grrr...
Westmead has never put me on the scales but if they look in there notes from the fs its all in there.
-
everyone, had scan today. the two are there but I am not gettin my hopes up about anything..... I will be have another scan next week and the week after to keep an eye on heartbeat/s!
-
mumofsix, i hear you there again about the weight i'm only 5'2 so extra weight on me looks bad i lost 25kg before i got preg with my last ds tho i still need to lose another 10-15kg to be happy its horrible knowing you have weight on you tho i doubt it will come off anytime soon then again i lose weight when im preg not gain so i may be lucky.
luvchildren, thats great news congragulations on twins, im sure they will be fine next week will still keep fingers crossed for you.
take care

luvchildren...... CONGRATS darl.....i have a good feeling about these little bubbas.....does anyone else see a trend happening here for the girls that are doing both IVF and Westmead.....TWINS....because of my new job and looks like we are selling our acreage and moving into town, but building a new house, i have to wait until next year....thats fine with me, and have already spoken with Westmead, because next year is the big "40", they have recommended that i start my cycle and harvest and freeze to better my chances for next year....i have to pay for storage, but hey that is a small price to pay i reckon and betters my chances.....cheers kiya
-
katt, thanks. I really won't get my hopes up just yet. I am glad that you are starting you cycle soon.
kiya, great to hear from again. it has been supa quiet in here! just when i have news.lol. sounds like a really good idea to freeze them. I am not sure that they have stuck and i do not get excited at all until i am about 14 weeks. miscarriage is a big issue for me.
-
Kiya... storage is included in the $1,450 fee.
So when will you be starting then??
-
hi luvchildren your welcome i know what its like with the unknowing and being a high risk of miscarriage hopefully tho your twins will make it and you will all be fine.
kiya, good to hear you may be starting soon good luck
ang
-
mumofsix.....they are going to charge me $$ storage until i start my IVF since i am not starting straight away and then when i start they will take that off my final charge and since i am doing ICSI split, it will end up being cheaper.....we worked out the sums and even after doing all of that it is still cheaper than going through QFG up here in Toowoomba....our house atm is important as we will be closer to work for both of us as well as both the primary & high school fort he kids.....good luck with your new cycle, and hope you get the BFP frist time around again....you going to have 2 put back in or just one at a time ? better dash, time for a shower.....cheers kiya
-
Kiya... we are doing ICSI this time too. I didnt know they could just freeze the eggs on there own, I knew they could freeze just sperm. So when will you start so they can get the eggs???
We will be having 2 put back this time. Like ive always said, two chances is better then one! Well thats what i believe anyway.
-
hi everyone how are you?
mumofsix, good to hear that you were are to get two put in this time, they wont even consider it with me cause of my age regardless of what we said. there isnt that long now til you start sniffin and the jabs hopefully you will get a bfp first go then its all worth it, thats what im thinkin of anyway since mine is all jabs (ouch).
kiya, hope it all works for you and they get a good number of eggs, do you know when they will be doing that?
hopefully i will get all my dates the end of next week the beginning of the week after, cause im up here and i have to be down there for a week or two before they do the egg collection i get my dates when i start the pill. easier to manage and orgainise four kids that way.
take care everyone hope you and the pregnancies are doing fine
ang
-
congrats luvchildren twins yeyyyy...........................
mumofsix whats the difference between normal ivf and what your doing this time round???
-
Hi Girls, i'm going to be away for a few days in Melbourne. Last night my Nana passed away. I was unable to attend my Pa's funeral when he passed away, so this time i am wanting to say my goodbyes etc and be there with the rest of the family. Sending good vibes to everyone while i am gone. kiya
-
hi everyone how are you?
Kiya, sorry to hear about your nana have a safe trip
take care everyone
angela
-
kiya- sorry to hear that. hope that it works out... hear from you soon
mummy25 thanks. i am not getting my hopes up just yet.. not till around 12-14 weeks. I have had to many miscarriages. I will keep everyone up to date. I have another two scans one this tuesday and another one the tuesday week (18).
katt, i found it was easier being down there for that week. jabs all the time your right ouch! it can be difficult to inject yourself, least it was harder than i first thought. how old are you that they won 't consider two? they strongly suggest that only one be transferred but you can discuss it with the fs and the head scientist... I had the two not just because of my age but also for the fibroid i have, the 10 miscarriages (including 4 ectopics) i have had and the polycystic ovaries. Have you had any problems in the past with pregnancies?
-
hi luvchildren how are you feeling? im 30 and dr soo said no way in hell they would put two in i had to fight to even get the ivf he wanted to do a reversal we had to tell him quite a few times that we wanted ivf. ive had two miscarriages no eptopic luckily the miscarriages were bad enough. other then that my problems are mainly being pregnant my 2nd ds i had a placenta previa grade 4 the docs were amazed i got as far as i did and came out without a hystorectomy and the last one i got that condition that shuts your liver down and you get a nasty rash, besides that i get severe sickness that i lose weight and never come up to the same weight again while im pregnant thats how bad it gets. as for the needles i know there gonna be tough doing myself but it has to be done so....
hope all is well with everyone
take care
angela
-
Katt... at funny that they told you only one!
I was 28 when i did my 1st IVF and they put two back.
I had never had a miscarriage at that stage either.
Now im 30, well i'll be 31 in Dec:( and there still going to put two back.
Different strokes for different fokes I guess.
Kiya...sorry about your Nana. Have a safe trip.
-
hi mumofsix, damn it i think i will be having words with them when i speak to them next cause they told me that there is no way they would put two in cause of my age. how rude! hope your well
how is everyone?
take care
angela
-
Katt... call Dr Soo and talk to him cause he has to pass it first then he passes the info on to Westmead and they just do what ever the FS has written in your notes.
At the end of of the day they are your embryos and its your body and your choice.
I would really push him on this. When is AF due for you?
I seen my fs today so everything looks good to go ahead.
 everything will be ok this time.
-
katt, yeh i would be going back to say something.... why on earth would he suggest to do the reversal? did you have fishie clips in? 2 misscarriages is still something to be concerned about. Alot of doctors brush them off all the time to "oh there was something wrong- natures way" but it just shouldn't be brushed off that easily. Where the miscarriages before you the tubal ligation?
mum of six, so happy that it went ok..... i am praying for you and have good vibes....:D
-
hi mumofsix how are you? af is due around next weekend so i will get all my dates for everything when i ring westmead. thats great everything went ok with your visit, everyone else is getting great news im sure you will to.
hi luvchildren how are you? my tubes are cut and tied the worst kind for reversal ive looked into it. mine are that bad that my ovaries have moved my right one is near my hip and my left one is behind my uterus and every time af is due or when im ovulating i feel it. one miscarriage was after my first dd and the second one was before my last ds so before i had my tubes cut. i really dunno why he was suggesting the reversal but he really tried pushing for it i told him no, we both did he didnt want to offer ivf at all said cause im to young but im obviously not, plus we looked in to reversal success rate for cut and tied is less than 15% he tried saying that they were 85%.
i may just have to make a phone call this week to dr soo or maybe my partner can im to soft which works against me.
hi everyone else how are you all going?
take care
angela
-
Katt... if your worried about talking to him put it in an email.
My tubes were cut and tied to and I did the reversal and i was only 27yrs old at that stage. No luck, i to also feel ovulation where as i never did before hand.
Maybe the t/r would work for you but with IVF the chances are so much higher.
I think you and DH made a good choice.
Take care
-
hi mumofsix how are you? i bet your glad your getting closer to having yours done your nearly at the end an im just starting. i did my last day at work today not that i mind working but i would rather be paid for doing something not literally just standing there doing nothing. plus i also know if the ivf works i will be to sick to even stand up plus i get to spend more time with my kids on weekends now and i dont have them feeling left out cause im never home when they are. i told them when i get a new job it will only be during the week.
take care everyone
angela
-
katt, mum of six has a good idea. you can email him. I did alot of that. my tubes were also cut and tied and were very bad afterwards. I had hoped more that the reversal would have worked for me. I have no idea why on earth he would suggest that- how odd. so close now..... exciting.
-
hi luvchildren how are you doing?
hi mumofsix, how are you doing also? you must be getting close?
well we did both we rang dr soo and we sent him a email he said if his allowed he will put two in it depends on dr smith he was suprised that we knew that he had to get his ok for it, anyway just gotta wait and find out now to see if its a yes or no to put two in put dr soo said yes finally.
take care hope all is well

angela
-
Mummy25...size 16 god you have nothing to worry about lol.
lol yep 31 in December for me:cry:

Katt... yeah everything went well. Went in the clinic this morning to pick up my spray and they ended up giving me everything:rolleyes:.
I guess they think im an old hand at this stuff now cause ive done it once.
So now im sniffing away. I can feeling it running down the back of my throat:sick:
Hope AF comes on time for you.
-
hey everyone, had scan today. she measured both of the babies and they are the same size, but the sac size of twin b is slightly larger than twin a. she pointed out the heartbeat of twin a (that we could see) and twin b's heartbeat was 113bpm. So far so good. I will have another scan next wednesday. She was a bit rude to me about the fact i was having so many scans (i have only had 2) and I told her that i had paid for this and had 7 miscarriages so i was well within my rights to keep a watchful eye on this. In any case it wasn't any of her business at all- she is not the gp.
-
Hi Ladies.....well i am back home now....Everything went really well down south and it was a beautiful service, and got to say my "good-byes"....Luv, that is awesome news about the bubba's.....you will be fine and the bubba's will be fine....just take it easy then everything will be ok.....well i better head off for now and get the kids their dinner.....i will try and jump on later tonight.....take care everyone...**hugs** kiya
-
hi everyone,
luvchlidren, good to hear that your twins are well, and that the heartbeats are fine. ive had a few of the ultrasound ppl like that with me i just snap back at them they arent paid to comment on why your having a scan.
mumofsix, good to hear you have your stuff, not long for you now to go.
kiya, good to hear your back safetly and that it went ok.
take care
angela
-
katt, yeh i did tell her off cause i had plenty of reason to be having another scan. it doesn't concern me in the least what they say, so long as they perform there job. I have decided though to go to another provider here and see how they are. I am really glad that dr soo has come around as i believe the same as mum of six, two chances are better than one, and besides they are our embryo's not theirs. They are service providers- not life deciders. So when do you start the pill?
kiya, nice to hear your back. we could see the other twins heartbeat but she couldn't measure it. I am having another scan next tuesday again to check everything. That will be my last for about a month or so before I go again to check on everything. I just won't be totally confident until i have reached about 10 weeks and even better when i reach 12 weeks. I really hope to.
mumofsix, gee hows that? they just hand you everything... i guess they know your confident....hows sniffing? keeping it well hidden from mum?
-
hi everyone how are you all doing?
luvchildren, we're glad dr soo came around as well tho we still have to wait for the final ok from dr smith and so far we havent heard anything, the distance card we played was the one that got him plus we said we couldnt afford to keep going back for only one. tho i really dont know what i would do if they both took, atleast i wont have to go back for a second one cause dh wants two so who knows, i will be grateful for even one at a time. hopefully i will start the pill saturday or sunday at the latest tho with my body could be as late as nxt weekend.
take care
angela
-
Katt... i missed your post about getting in contact with dr soo thats great news.
Have you been out to buy the microgynen yet(pill)??
Sniffing is doing my head in this time, very dizzy and sick feeling and feel very on edge:rolleyes:
-
hi mumofsix, yeah i brought the pill the other week its just sitting there waiting, so over taking the vitamins there like horse tablets and dh only has to take one, ive got him on menevit lol. yeah it is good that dr soo agreed for two to be put in hopefully dr smith will agree to it as well atleast it increases our chances. its not good what the spray is doing to you this time it will soon be over and soon will hopefully be all worth it.
take care
angela
-
Katt... i hope your right.
Im counting down everyday hehe
-
hi mumofsix, im hoping that im right to especially since your other ones didn't make the thaw, hopefully a fresh start will do the trick, its worked for everyone else so fingers crossed.
angela
-
hi MUMOFSIX/LUVCHILDREN whats the total cost of ivf/drugs/doctor??? can i pay with credit card????
im trying to talk df into letting me do it early like NOW so i can be due around the same time as you guys (just got to get some really strong gum for the non smoking lol) also send me doctors name and number again mumofsix as i really want to see the same doctor as you....
my df wants his marine fish tank so that will be my bait for my early ivf lol but i cant do it unless they let us use his credit card please say they will????
-
I have told df it should cost about $2000 all up would that be right???
for ivf, doctor and extra drugs???
do we get to claim any back from medicare???
-
katt, glad to hear you are almost at the start... it really is a rollacoaster as mumofsix often reminded me. i hear you about the vitamins, the pregnancy ones are horse tablets to, but i am not complaining about having to take them. hope you get you ok from howard soon. I didn't know either what i would do if the two took, and even now not sure until i am past the unsafe zone that they have taken, but i will accept God's gift as I am sure you will too.
mummy25, yeh i think they do. just get in contact with them to check it out. if your going with westmead, you don't get your medicare back until after transfer and it depends totally on your threshold and whether you have reached your safety net.
-
hi everyone how are you?
luvchildren, oh i believe you that its a rollercoaster i think the worst part is going to be the waiting to see if its worked. im sure your twins will be ok this time ive got my fingers crossed and everything for you.
do any of you know if westmead is open on weekends cause my af normally comes on a sunday lol
take care
