Question Tubal Reversal & Pension, desperation PTLS

    Hi again ladies,
I am in Victoria, I have Post tubal ligation syndrome, I am fighting through the days as they are so hard to keep struggling through now, I am basically bed bound and mentally im not coping in any slight way at all, I feel like I have literally gone absolutely crazy and don't feel I can do this.
I'm trying to get the tubal reversal ASAP cos it is so bad. I want to feel like a woman again and be a mother to my kids.
Do any of you know any one in vic who does tubal reversals? and for the lowest cost? Do you know if they have payment plans as I am on a pension and cant afford it at all. I just want to be normal again, not for the sake of having another child. I just wish they would stop taking me for a fool :'(
Please can someone help me?? Also do any of you know who any Dr's who are looking into PTLS as an interest who would be interested in seeing me? Im so desperate. Im not coping at all. Running into brick walls all the time is taking its toll and every hour of the day feels like 10 hrs, I feel like Im turning into a man literally and I can't do this :'(
    Thanks x

Hi Im struggling with the same symptoms as you are and finding it difficult to get a reversal within our budget...
    I live in nsw.
I was wondering how did you get on?
    Im desperate also....
I have fishie clips on and have done so for 5 years now.
my problems began straight after surgery, depression, feeling useless, long heavy irregular periods, severe itching (skin - like bugs crawling under it), I was pressured by family and doctors to have my tubes clamped as im a mum of 5 children and 31 yrs of age (currently)..
They say the goverment brought out a rebate in july this year for tubal reversals but its unfortunatly not as much as the operation itself so we are still out of pocket.
Anyway I hope you found someone to reverse them 4 you and i hope i too can have these symtoms removed from my life permanently very very soon...

    Hi Jen,
Well I had been booked in for the procedure and they said that it would be 3 operations (1. To look at the tubes 2. to do the reversal and 3. to make sure they are functioning)
It was going to be covered by medicare, I was relieved, but the day before my 1st surgery they phoned and said they are not willing to do it..
I was soooo bad after that phone call, I had had enough. Then my husband called the Royal Womens hospital in Melbourne and they put us through to Reproductive services and I have got a referral and my appt is on the 16th of Feb and I see them and I will be put onto a category out of 3 for waiting. category 1- within 1 month, category 2- within 3-6months and category 3- 10-12months!
Also from what my husband was informed it is the one operation so I swear I cannot wait until that day!!!! I really hold so much hope that it is going to take all these problems away especially after all the research I have done but I have days where I feel im going to be stuck suffering like this forever Huge hugs xx
