I am so over this rain we are having up here. I need a little sunshine so i can go out and mow the weeds and the mile high grass. My poor horse can't keep up with all the high grass. I'm currently planning my trip down to westmead next month all going well. My GP rang them today while i was in his office and they said because i am interstate we can do some of the testing up here and send down the results which means we can go down next month and get the ball rolling. We have decided to go ICSI and put 2 eggs back. The only thing we are worried about if we put 2 back, is that i have been preg with twins before which i conceived naturally, so i have a higher chance of having twins again, but we don't care. We would be happy with what we get :-) Cheers kiya
Wow Kiya thats awesome news. Why are you doing ICSI????
Darl i took the chance and put two back and look what I got!
I couldnt be happier very blessed.
Ray sorry to hear your having to wait abit long but your
right things do happen for a reason.
I heard Mazs bub is 6pound something and things are well.
I read it in belly buddies Jan 16th-31st.
Storm I hope your getting busy looking at your chart hehehe
Luv hows things going hope your feeling better
Em, when my gp was speaking with the consultant (speaker phone), they recommended because of my age (37) that i may not produce as many eggs as a woman a few years younger, so they thought that doing ICSI with the best looking eggs was my best chance. I'm not really fazed on what method i use just as long at the end of the day i have a happy, healthy baby/s. Cheers kiya
Hi ladies, wow so much has happened while I`ve been away. We just got back from a trip on a house boat on the Murray river, it was awesome... we spent a week there, and would you beleive af arrived lunch time on the last day, 6 weeks and 1 day after D&C. How lucky was I that she stayed away for the trip..
I did`nt think Id be so happy that she`s here b ut it means we can start TTC again.. woo hoo
Maz congrats on the birth of your little boy, hope you both are doing well...

Onemore, yes i am and soooooo can't wait to start. I have so many people behind me on my journey to have another baby. My 12yr daughter Jeanna is so excited that she has a list of stuff i have to get and she is marking it off. It is also goign to be a lot different this time around because all of my kids have grown up so much since i had my last baby. Cheers kiya
Hi everyone,
It has been ages, SORRY..
So much has happened, to me, (and all of you I see) ,a VERY LONG STORY, that will bore you all to tears, I'm sure... hehehe
Baby was put on hold for a while as I was quite sick and had a lot to sort out. But now we are back on and it's all systems go.
We have decided to cancel the reversal in Melbourne and head down the IVF road instead. I have been sitting up since 2:30 this morning researching it all, (too hot to sleep).
But, I am more confused than before I started. DH wants me to find out as much as possible, especially which is are the best centres, success rates and especially costs.
The costing side of things I am finding the most confusing.
So if any of you out there can shread some light, I would much appreciate it.
Take care,
framaine
fRAM...
I have sent you a PM about my IVF story.Take care.
Kiya sounds like a good idea because of your age. Im so excited for
you and your family. A new home and a new baby sounds wonderful.
Let me know if you need anything at all im only 35mins from westmead.
tAKECARE.
Onemore how lucky the witch stayed away that long.
Normally shes the first thing to visit when you have
something special planned.
Hope to hear some good news from you soon aswell
Thanks Em, That would be great. Fram, i'm also going down the IVF path, and thanks to Em, we are goign through Westmead in Sydney. I got their information pack which includes a DVD, and even spoke with them with my gp in a phone conference the other day as well as speaking them myself. Of all the places that i contacted they were the best and the cost was excellent. I asked them about me coming from Qld, and they said they actually get a lot of clients from Qld as well as other states. They accommodate everyone. I can't wait to start my IVF journey. Wish you all the best with your journey as well. Cheers kiya
I have heard alot of great things about westmead IVF. We went to see them about my reversal.

Fram if you cant get that PM just go to this site WestMead Fertility Centre
There who I went thru and they were wonderful and very cheap.
The hole thing took about 12wks in total.
I choose to have two embryos put back to give me a better chance
at getting one heatly baby and we got two but one didnt make it past
8wks. I am very blessed with the one we still have and I would recomend
westmead to anyone.Take care girls.
Hi all, fram, I was wondering how you went about finding out about getting the reversal done in melbourne. And was it done in the womens hospital. I've heard they do free reversals a few a month. Can anyone help. I have googled it on the net but cant find anything.
hi maz,
your babes is so cute.
How are you feeling? A lot better i hope
Take care ladies
ray:D
WOWIE!!!! Maz, your little man is absolutely gorgeous. You have done a wonderful job. May you NOT have many sleepless nights.
Cheers kiya
Hi everyone,
A great big congrats maz, my god he is so adorable. You must be so happy.
mumof5, I finally figured it out, thank you, I replied, have a read.
rttj2000 contact the reproductive clinic at the royal women's hospital and get a referral from your gp in the meantime. It wasn't long before the first appointment where you and your hubby/partner go in together and see one of the docs. They will go over both of your medical history and then your on the waiting list. At first they told me it could be anywhere from 1-2 years, but I have only been waiting just over 3 months now and just last week before we cancelled to do ivf, I was told about another 3-4 months to go. So not too long to wait at all, and yes it is free, as it is done through the public system. Hope that helps in some way.
Anywazy, I'm off to watch the tennis, I'm a huge fan and predtty much wait all year for the next 2 weeks. I become a massive lounge lizard.
Take care everyone,
framaine
Hi every one,
Charmaine.... its been so long, glad to hear baby is back on the agenda and that your feeling better.

Ive been a bit blaa lately, some days good and start to think Im feeling better then I`ll start crying for no reason....
Maz, your little boy is gorgeous hope you both are doing well.
rttj2000 I had my reversal done at the Royal Womens in Melb, took about nine months from start to finish.
Talk to you all later
Thanks Heaps ladys. Will now have to get hubby to say yes to another 1. Sorry to hear that onemore, hugs for you.
hi maz welcome back!!!!!! your little man is soooo gorgeous. hi everyone else.
Where is everyone today??
Hope you are all ok.
framaine
i'm here. have to try and rush in these days with my 2 girls playing their online girlie games. once upon a time the computer was mine, now i have to share it. that is not fair. cheers kiya
Hi Kiya,
I will be keep a very close eye on your story/journey, as i too will be going through westmead.
I won't be starting till the second half of the year, so here's hoping that i an use your adventures for inspiration.
Back again soon,
Take care everyone
Charmaine
framine, that is fantastic. i so can't wait to get it all on its way. i would love you to join in on my journey :-) cheers kiya
LOL Kiya my kids used to do that to me all the time, now though uh ah they not allowed to touch it unless they have been helpful.
HIya Charmaine, I hope the first 1/2 of the year flys by for you.
I am so out of touch with you all in here, I have been so busy with my hectic life I dont get much of a chance anymore. Soon it will be all done with just waiting on the power to be done as well it's a bit hard with the genny to be online I am so worried about my precious PC coping a surge or something.LOL heaven forbid something happens to it.
Storm, i wish my 2 dd's would stay off, because it is so hard to battle around them to even get my email. My 2nd eldest ds uses dh's computer, and my eldest ds has his own computer. oops scratch that try 2 running computers, 1 server computer, 1 laptop and he is about to buy another laptop. so as you can see we are computer central here, but the girls love playing their girlie games on it and thats it end of mummy computer time
where is everyone ??? it is very quiet here. hope everyone is well :-)
cheers kiya
hey kiya,
it has been quiet in here, guess everyone has been busy.
Your doing IVF soon are you ? bet you cant wait, when do you start?
You have horses dont you? I have a young quarter horse and am wondering if Ive taken on more than I can handle, thinking I might sell her. I also have a bit of bad feeling towards her because a couple of weeks before I lost the bub I tried to catch her and she was a real cow, I chased her for an hour around the paddock and she jumped two fences into the house yard and I still didnt catch her and I was so wild and absolutely stuffed and sweat dripping of my nose !!! I really dont think it made any difference to the outcome of the pregnancy but I always wonder, if I hadnt chased her so hard maybe things might be different. There are so many what ifs though, just one of those things....
Anyway, take care everyone.
Talk soon
im lurking.....have been busy and trying not to get myself run down. god its hard keeping up atm...hope everyone is well and **** its finally raining here!!!!! woo hoo - id do a nudie dance but my bb's would probably hurt to much ROFL
I'm here, I was slack & didn't turn genny on till 5pm ha ha ha .
Got the wind turbine up & running now, but the inverter is crappy so till we get a good one, I cant/wont use the pc off it it only puts out 220v . One day soon I hope my house will function.
hey maz, congrates... he is so beautiful.. i feel for you. if i were close.. i'd come give you a hand!!!! have you got any family with you?????
hey storm, i hear ya about the house thing.. i had a surge happening in the tap outside... then had ergon energy tell me that it will still have a surge but it is safe!!! are they crazy or what? last night we had massive storms up here with heaps of lightning and thunder....... which made it worse!!!
em, wow 24 weeks..... just think you thought it would never get there...... i am having a hsg at the end of february with the dr at the hospital... i have to check out the clot though first and make sure that its gone..
onemore, are you heading down the ivf? horses wow i love horses and would love for my children to see them but they are just to expensive... we used to have somewhere to hire horses and ride but its now gone too..
hey to everyone else and welcome rttj!
onemore....yes we are doing IVF through westmead. Em put me onto them, and everytime we have spoken with them over the phone (/me is in QLD) they have been fantastic. All going well we hope to be starting next month, but if not next month it will be march. we are refinancing our house atm so we can build a new house on my property. i used to have 3 horses which both my eldest dd and i rode competitively, but they decided it was time they retired so we gave them new homes with people who would love them and just let them roam the paddocks. now we have another horse but he is for my dd to compete with when the ban is lifted. horses can be a pain at times and i have chased a friends horse from my place in blenheim (em will know this place) all the way down blenheim road itself . 7km long road. i was nearly dead when i got there, so refuse to agist friends horses now. wow i just babbled....LOL cheers kiya
LUV...Cant wait to see what the HSG test has to say.
ONEMORE...That would really make me wonder too!
Next time best you take it real easy till 12wks atleast.
Its just not worth running the risk.
Kiya and Fram cant wait to follow your stories of IVF.
Im so glad i did the hole IVF thing and bypast my damaged tubes.
With the reversal having such a high eptopic and misscarriage rate.
Im not so sure I could have handled that time after time.
It was bad enough losing one of my twins.
Good to see your still boobing MAZ.
Take care Girls
Hi ladies, I know its late but would you believe I didnt get out of bed till 10:45 thismorning!!!!
Luv- no we are not doing IVF, after everything we have been through I really believe in my heart that we will get our little one, weather it be in the near future or down the track a bit.. Im hoping sooner rather than later.
What about you ? you`ve had a rough go and I think you are a brave women.....
Em- yea I will be taking it very easy when it happens, its so hard thinking back and wondering if the loss was something you could have prevented. The week before I found out I dug two fishponds and was lifting twentyfive kg bags of grain
occasionaly for work and it just makes you wonder....
Kiya- I hav`nt had much to do with young horses and have been letting her get away with a bit of stuff, like when Im leading her she will just stop and up untill now I had just been encouraging her slightly but the other day when she wouldnt walk I yanked on the lead and she soon moved but the second go she took off and I got rope burn, man it hurt... blisters on my fingers. Gloves me thinks !!!
Anyway I`ve babbled enough now, better go get some shut eye.
Will talk to you all soon
Hi Everyone,
Hope you all had a good weekend. Mine was crazy. Work is really busy, busy, busy now. I am a bridal consultant and we have noe hit our peak period for the year. Boy have i seen some real bridezillas in the last couple of weeks..... lol
My sister, her hubby and my 6 month old niece came for dinner last night. I loved it but it was hard at the same time. Seeing my niece and so desperately wanting a girl of my own was tough.
My sister had trouble conceiving, (long story) and in the end only did thanks to Clomid. She was telling me how they worked for her and how i should have the reversal and give the drugs ago first, if no success, then try ivf.
Sometimes it's so confusing and leaves not really knowing what is the best option for us...
Anyway, hope you are all well.
Will chat again soon, take care everyone
Charmaine
hi charmaine,
Don't be confused, go with your gut feeling.
If you feel ivf is for you then stick to it, I have learnt not to listen to people. Everyone has different ways of conceiving just because it worked for them, doesn't mean it works for you.
People tell hubby and i to get the reversal, but they don't realize that it's dangerous for me to have it down. So we are sticking with ivf i start in march and i think it's the best decision . But thats for us, again go with your gut feeling it will always work out.
Maz you baby boy is absolutely gorgeous.
Em, how's your pregnancy treating you?
School goes back next week, my youngest is of to school .Because if his global development delay he's of to a special school.
Hope all you ladies are well?
ray:D
Im doing ok getting big tho(havent put any weight on yet).
And i cant wait for the kids to go back to school
cause Im over them. Ive had my parents here for 3weeks
now so them on top of the kids im really ready to go
OFF. I think the kids will be glad to get back to school anyway
cause I think there sick of my parents telling them what
to do every 5 seconds(well i know im sick of it).
They just dont get it,there only kids but my parents
just have to be nasty or pick on them which i really just cant stand.
Looks like there here for another 2weeks cause i over heard a convo
they were having. It cant come soon enough.
I think my mum thinks Im gunna fly her here when the baby comes.
 WRONG thats the last thing Im gunna do after this visit
hi em,
sorry about the parents, they can be so annoying.
I'm the same i said to lee when we have a baby i don't want my mum there, I can't stand her taking over and pushing me out of the way, like i don't know how to look after my kids. That we do everything wrong and they know everything i can't stand it.
