I have had the urnine tests come back neg too, but then a few days later I did another and it said positive....
I have decided I'm Just going to Do it.....

he is not one to "you know" and wont do it unless I assist....

Do you get to bring his sample in or do they have to do it in a booth LOL....

It was the funniest thing when he came back and told me about his booth experince :lol:. He said he kept hearing people walk past the room and he was SO worried some one was going to just walk in on him. He didnt know weather to just hang it out his fly just in case or pull his pants right down:lol:. By the time her finished telling me i was wetting myself laughing and im pretty sure the people in the waiting room had an idea of what was going on.No sex for 4 days before hand or was it 3??? cant member pregnant brain. You can give him a HAND but only a hand :cryinglaugh: no HJ'S cause it will be contaminated. Half the guys had it with them on the day of egg pick up and you just have to drop it in at the lab.

Mine wont do it in a booth, he does not tend to do that full stop (well he tells me that).

what about sex with condom? is that allowed? would still get the goods...
the no sex for 3-4 days is ok we can handle that one.....

You have to have it at the clinic within 1 hour of collecting it.
But yes it does last about 3 days.

there are special condoms you can use if you can't manage to get the goods. it is very similar to a normal condom, but as you know normal condoms have a spermicide in them, so these special ones don;t have it in them. not sure if you ask to use one of them, but like mumof5 said it has to be done pretty much before the egg pick-up. cheers kiya

I just was in help and i found out I had to have 10 posts to become a bellybelly member as I am currently just a registered member... any idea what this means?
we have only told my oldest daughter and she said WHAT!!!!...
but she is warming to it now as I told her we would fix front room and divide and she can have the room with front access (for her friends) it has a sliding door and screen.
plus she gets her double bed and she has wanted that, so we have won her over...
The other's are too young and would just say COOL.... and we will tell them if successfull otherwise they will keep asking when is the baby comming.

My daughter is only just coming around now she has been very jealous.

Hayley has been Jealous from the start, she was a only child untill she was 4, and had everything....
being the only grandchild and great grandchild she was spoilt...
had every playgym and toy you could imagine.
but she thinks she can have everything and gets really peed when I say No....
(thursday night she wanted to go shopping with a girlfriend at the centre, with only $5 and planned to stay for 4 hours -- walking around apparently and I said No sounds too suss to me, she ranted and raved and cried and then cancelled with her friend and ignored me for 2 hours... (to me sounded like they were meeting boys and she is only 13 and I been there done that and know what we can get up to at that age from personal expierence.)
must be age and yes bit of jealosy...

try Involving her in the birth in some way.
if she cant go into theatre with you both, then have her there with a friend/family member and tell her she will be the first to see bub and hold her (apart from you and hubby).
when she is born, get hubby to take her out to her for a hold or take her to the nursery to help him dress her or bath her (if they still do that) as we usually spend alot of time in recovery...
up here in one hospital they brought them into recovery for a feed, and in the last one they refused to bring bub in full stop and they had to give her formula as I was in there for like 2 and a half hours (had a reation to the drugs)....

How weird Ebb was the first grandchild and great grangchild on both sides and was the only one for 4.5 years. She was so very spoilt aswell she had everything AND still does(even false nails). I was tying to get permission for her to come in to the op with me and Rob too. But your only aloud 1 person in there unless your lucky and ask the doc when your about to go in. Ive been lucky with my c/s cause they have let me have two people both times(different hospital this time).
If she cant then i asked her to wait right out side the door so when bub comes out she is to go with her and not leave her till im back in the ward.
I told her she has to give her her first bath and feed if im not there to feed her

I still spoil hay too (to a degree) i dont give her everything she wants as I just cant afford it...
But she gets more than my other children.

Have Just be given the go ahead from my partner to do the IVF...

was thinking today that when we went to buy a new house, the one we brought was the very one he hated and would not even consider.

have uploaded pictures of my house and the converted garage, when you look from the front of the house, the converted garage is both the big wndows you see, so plenty of room to make 2 bedrooms, (Just need a wall to seperate) then this will be a 6 bedroom home....
plenty of room for bub....
Im am off to call the IVF clinic weastmead for my first appointment, will let you all know when it is....

I have appointment with dr melhem on 21st april at 12:15am (first available appointment). have to see him first and take referral for both of us on this day from our local doctor.
mumof5: why do we have to see gyno when we know why? we cant fall?
does he start the process? or is he the one who will look after us during the whole thing?
how long after I see him will treatment roughly start?
costs $250 to see him for 45 min's... (but get good rebate from medicare).
All I know is that the fertility centre said I cant see them untill I have seen him. (even Know I AM getting referal from our ocal doctor, they said i need that too)...
does craig need to go to this appointment, they have asked for him too but he has no problems with his count or fertility as we have proof of that x 5....

Yep you must both see the the specialist first and he refferes you to westmead.
I seen DR Tien-Ming Hng at Wentworthville he was pretty quick to get into (02)96364500. You must have a full blood works done to check for Aids and all that stuff. AND im sorry to tell hubby but he also must have his goods tested just to make sure there still working :Lol: which im sure they are but you hate to do the hole thing and give your sample at the end and there all not swimming!!
He has to get all yours and hubbies history,so pretty much all he is doing is the gorund work for the hospital. We had 3 appointments with him only cause i didnt take Rob to the first appointment. So you should only have to go the first time then go back for your results and to start the pill so that will only be about two weeks. They wanted me to wait another month but i pushed cause i new my period was pretty close. Once you start your period you have to call westmead and they normally get you in within a couple of days. And both of you need to get a referal from your GP or just one with both names on it

I rang him and he was the quickest (17/4/08) but the time didnt suit.
I went for the one I did as they were the cheapest ($250 for 2) where the others were $180 each.
The time suited us too as we have to get from newc to syd after we drop kids at school and preschool and be home by 6pm for collection of them from family.
At least I have plenty of time to get more shifts and pay for all this LOL...
I don tend to work much as a rule as I left fulltime to focus on my children, but I will take whatever for a few weeks and save some money while I can.
(You never know I may not fall first go and might want to go again, which means $1400 again)...

Thats still pretty good getting in that soon.Some clinic's have a 6month wait.
Its only $1450 again if you dont have any eggies frozen. But if you manage to get some put on ice its only between $550-$760 which is awesome.
So "IF" we decided to use our left our embryo then we would only have to pay that.
But if our 4 embryo's all died during the defrosting then we would have to do a hole new cycle $1450(which i wouldn't do again).
I would just be happy with the babies i have.

Hi, I have my first appointment at the Royal Women's in Melb to get my tubes reversed in 2 weeks. Just wondering what to take with me and what to expect during this appointment?

Hi Karen..... Take any paper work you have on your T/L and any ultrasounds or test you may have had done. Just have a list of question you may want to ask the doctor

Thanks.... I sent my referal off by email, so i included where i had my tubes tied and who did the op then. My GP also included my last U/S results in the referal( damn ovarian cysts, which took the docs a week of me going back to them to send me off for the U/S. Wasn't happy at all). Will they do any tests on the day of the appointment?

HI karend Welcome, I cant help you with what to expect as I have not had my reversal done but if this is not too personal what is the op costing you?
I am doing Ivf instead of a reversal due to the costs involved with reversal.

Karen, I never had any tests done on the day. And the next time i seen him i was laying on a bed telling him i didnt want to die and i had 5 good reason as to why i should be going home at the end of the day :lol:(lap micro surgery). I was so bl00dy scared cause i had never been put to sleep before so i had no control if you know what i mean.With a C/S your awake and you know whats going on.
They just asked for some medical history and why i was wanting it done!

Mummy25... Im so done i just want to have the baby right now. Im tried sore and just pi$$ed off with myself. It just seems to be dragging now.
I had my sons second birhtday yesterday so we did a party with all the party food then i got 10 pizzas. And just cleaning up last night i was buggered.
Now i have to start getting my other sons party ready which is on easter sunday hes going to be 9.
So we are having a big easter hunt followed by a BBQ and a jumping castel. There are only so many hours in a day and i only have 2 hands.

mummy25- They said $5000 if i go privately or free if i go as a public patient. i went privately to get my tubes done. Wish now that i had gone on the waiting list as i probably would have talked myself out of it.... It all depends on what the doc says on the 17th as to whether i want to go as a private or public patient.(im not the most patient person on the planet). I have been thinking about this for a long time, finally got up the courage and asked for the referal. Now im scared now that the journey has begun.

mumof5- thats ok.... did they ask your DH for a sample? If so my DH wants to know when do they ask for it?
