HI Everyone sorry I have not been in for a while.
Things at home were not good and I just didnt feel like typing.
I came on as I knew that mumof5 little girl was due yesterday, I'm so excited for her and cant wait to see the pictures.
I am not having Ivf untill july as I have a few tests to get out of the way first (ultrasound, pap smear Etc:) as My period has gone for 3 weeks and although it has stopped now I'm getting a few cramps here and there so I need to have these tests first before starting ivf.
(I am well overdue for a pap test).
hopefully if all goes well I will start my ivf in june.

Not sure about this breastfeeding,im going crazy very hour then every two manybe 4 if im very luck but she has only done that once since she was born. Cluster feeding they call it. They can call it wat they like i need sleep!
-
Mumof6 love your new name......
I got my ultrasound results I have a cyst on my ovary - dont know what that means?
all my doctor said was that I have to see a gyno if worried.
I am going ahead with a tubal reversal now as craig does not want to go through IVF- he does not like the process of it -men....
It will cost me $7600 but thats ok if it is my only chance i will save it up and pay it.
I am so over this tubal ligation I tell you the side affects have hit me hard this week I have had bad itchy skin - feels like i have ants biting me and crawling on me, and the mood swings -boy....
The internet said that the tiching is from my tubal ligation and also the long periods and the pms...
anyone else got any bad sypmtoms from their tubal ligation they would like to share, I would love to know I am not alone and not going insane.
Mumof6--- how are the other children going with bub, are you getting any sleep yet?
I was unable to breastfeed past 6 weeks with all mine as my milk didnt seem to satisfy them....
-
hey em, thats great that you can fit everyone, my car is the same... hope she sleeps a little more for you.....
mummy25, hey yeh i know what you mean before i had the tubal reversal, i went mad with all the side effects. Type into google post tubal ligation syndrome and you will come up with lots of information that no one told probably you or any of us for that matter. As a student nurse I am so angry at what they are teaching me, and how it never gets told when you are the patient.... I hope the reversal goes well for you. As for the cyst- did they say how big it was or whether it was fluid filled? I had poly cystic ovaries for a while, but that just meant that I was producing heaps of eggs and not ovulating. From what I know, the cyst is like a pimple on the ovary.. but it all depends on how big and what extent.. If you are getting the reversal its probably an idea to get it checked out before... hope this helps..
-
haha Em, what is sleep? Hope she settle in soon for you.
The CD at the bottom is what cycle day I am, we are TTC, have been now for 10 months & I am so over it.
-
luvchildren what type of nurse? (Ain ? RN ? EEN ? or EN ????)
I'm am a AIN and planning to train as an EEN....
-
My doctor did not say what the cyst size is , as he told me over the phone, I see him tuesday so i will know more then.
-
Hi Mummy25, like you it is a relief to know that other women are experiencing the same symptoms as me re: tubal ligation. I have suffered for almost 6 years now and was beginning to think it was all in my head until coming across this thread.
My symptoms range from severely itchy skin, to having thrush like symptoms with no dicharge every few weeks (no sign on testing though) and pretty much everything in between. All of my problems have only come about since having my tubes tied and for years I have been telling DH of this fact, but my doctor just basically fobbed me off. It has been very frustrating to say the least, but there is light at the end of the tunnel so to speak.
Now I just need my new GP to take me seriously as from what I have read on the net it is not widely recognised as a syndrome. I think those of us who are suffering the side effects of tubal ligation need to inform other women of what we aren't told. I was at the point where I had given up complaining to my doctor and just excepted what was happening as normal, though it is far from normal, and I have been warning everyone I know from having their tubes tied in the hopes that no one else has to suffer unnecessarily.
-
mummy 25, i am studying to be a RN but then midwife
tami, this does exist. the blood supply to your ovaries is the fallopian tubes. they don't tell you this simple yet important factor either when they are butchering you...
-
luvchildren it angers me that they can perform this type of surgery without giving you the full details of what the side effects can be. I have suffered for too long already and it has affected so many facets of my life.
What can we do to stop others from going through the same thing? How are women able to make an informed decision if vital information is kept from them?
I was warned about what could go wrong during the surgery but not of the side effects that so many women are now experiencing afterwards, had I been told I would never have agreed to have them done.
Don't doctors have an obligation to tell patients about this sort of thing?
-
**** - EM how the hell did I miss this exciting news!!!!!! She look sperfect mate. Well done! (maz going to find birth story)
how is everyone's life journey these days?
I feel like mines been an up hill battle again but hey...atleast when I get to the top, I'll be able to slide down :)
Hope your all well and taking care of yourselves.
xxmaz
-
Hey Maz i havent done a birth story i dont have time for that flat out getting a shower each day. She love me so much that everytime i put her down she cries so she is running the place at the moment. If i give her a bottle she sleeps like an angel and in her cot. Anyways i can hear her calling for me or should i say screaming for me.
Take care and i'll try and get on more.Sorry girls
-
tami, i know how you feel about this. this issue has been ignored by everyone. I hope that when i have finished my degree I can bring this to a research facility to get the news out there. Doctors don't care. you are a number and if it stops them from playing golf, they will cut it out or butcher it for a quick fix. unfortunately, unless you have thousands for legal costs, its difficult to fight a whole culture.
em, glad to read you are doing okay
maz, hey long lost ranger......
-
Hello...
mumof6....congrats on the safe arrival of Breah.
mummy25..... Cysts arent generally a problem...doctors wont do anything unless they are over 5 cm across(no matter how uncomfortable they can make you)
Well we finally home...pap smear results came back clear....the other tests will be done this week so fingers crossed...
Take care everyone..
-
HI everyone had my pap smear today, yuck I hated every minute of it, at least it is done now.
my doctor said that dr woolcroft in newcastle is the best dr to get reversal done by he said he is brilliant and has the best results when it comes to pregnancy after.
(at least he sounds like he is worth the $7600 fee) now I have to just come up with the money....)
he said that I can get it done by public hospital via the medicare loophole, (going in for a look and see and while there just removed clamps too) but he said the chances of conception after are low....
better run my children are killing each other, it seems when you get on the computer or the phone they start to destruct things or each other.
-
PS: any tips for toilet training? seems my daughter will do everything right at preeschool but at home she continues to soil her pants.
she is almost 4 and I'm running out of ideas, I even tried the chart where when she goes so many days without an acident she gets a new dollly, but that didnt work.
she knows what to do and understands me.... Grrrrrrrr
-
Mummy.. Im pretty sure Storm used that doctor from memory. As for tha toilet training i have no idea. I tries to train Seth before i had the baby but he didnt want a bar of it now he is starting to want to get on himself:rolleyes:. Now im not ready for it, so so busy.
-
Yep I went to dr woolcott I would recommend him, he was great & had a very nice bedside manner too.
