we spoke to the ivf dr and he is giving me the synarel the spray up the nose then the injection.
My period is coming soon because my back is aching again, anyone got some suggestion for backache i am over taking panadol all the time.
Brandon had ent on tuesday they have decided to take the grommet out so more surgery for him yuk:cry: last op they had real trouble trying to bring him around.

Yeah the dr told me i would be doing the same thing with the spray then the injections (NOT LOOKING FORWARD TO THAT).You have to go on the pill first so they have complete control over your cycle.When is your AF due???? Rob has to go for a sperm test LOL on the 5th July then we are back off to the specialist on the 17th july to get all the drug and what have you. August we should be having our first pre mixed baby put back in he told me

Hi everyone! I have been away for a couple days as my friend was here with her nb son and new babies are so so precious I could have a little baby over and over but then.........they grow up! jk. But I could not stop staring at him and thinking of how much I want a little girl and then I see him and think I would be happy with a little boy to and then I would never have to share my stuff with anyone!
Anyways...luvchildren - I will have to get a cut on the bikini line about 3 inches I didn't know that there was another way? Maybe I should talk to my doctor and see if another one does it differently as I am not looking forward to that big scar.

I will have the patency test in a few weeks and see what that tells us. As much as waiting realy sux I do think everything happens for a reason so I don`t want to rush into IVF without giving myself a good chance of concieving naturaly first. Recovery for me took longer than expected and with stress and all I might just try to relax for a while and let nature take its course. I`m 28 now so have a little time, that said I would like to have a baby before I`m 30 so will see what happens.

we are doing owes in a couple of months just waiting for the rest of our money.
My cycle is 28 days my af is due in 2 days ovu exactly 14 days thank god that makes my live a lot easier.

apparently the injection don't hurt at all the nasal spray i reckon would be the worse

Hi Ray..... they are giving me 60% because im well under 35 and ive had kids before and never had trouble falling pregnant before. Gee he is lucky. We know Rob doesnt have a problem but they still want to have it done. Im very excited too but im so worried something will go wrong. Ive been reading alot of wat the other girls have to say in LTTTC and boy they have all done it very tuff. I dont want to build my hopes up to high but i kind of all ready have,its so hard not to.
ONEMORE....... I should wait longer but i just want to get it over and done with. Yeah you still have a few good years in you yet.

yeah we have high % rate as well, the same thing were young get pregnant easy.
Lee told me to stop stressing about everything. I was the same with ltttc they have done it tuff but like my doctor said ,i'm in a different predicament meaning the only problem i have is tubes are clamped and everything done bypasses the tubes. I'm to late i already have my hopes up because i know it will work for us and it will work for you, i'll get my hopes up for you if it makes it easy for you.

kjs, yeh that is why i went to sydney with dr cooper. i didn't want a huge scar because i don't want another c-section. have you had all natural births with the other children?

:lol: Luv i dont know about twins being FUN but i will take wat ever god is willing to give me. Rod and i have decided to ask to have two put back cause it will double our chances of having a baby. I know the riskes of having more then one is high but god will only give me wat i can handle. LOL Rob says we will both have to start up smoking cause he hear something on the radio about some study that says if both parents smoke the chances of having a girl are higher and also to deal with all the stress of things hehehe. I think the hole smoking and getting a girl is a load of snot

Storm.....yeah 9 the IVF clinic wanted a full blood works done on day 21, example blood type, aids, gluecos,rubella etc.HEHEHE Im surprized they didnt want to stick a pipe cleaner up my back side aswell.
Seems like so much, but they wouldn't take it if they didn't need it.

Hehe didnt think so either. Got all my results today and im good to go. Well this was our last month to try the natural way and my blood test said I didnt ovulate so i wont be pregnant this month. So AF will be here in 5 more days.

hi everyone. mumof5 were you and i the same with our cycles. can't remember. anyway i have been feelling really weird the last couple of days.for example last night while driving home from brendan's football training i had this nauseas feeling. i felt really hot. and i felt like i wanted to chuck but nothing. my dh made me some toasted ham cheese and tomato sandwiches but could'nt eat them all.

fingers crossed for you, I would say hope you feel better soon but I`m hoping you feel this way for a while!! I can`t really say as I didn`t have ms with my 2 DS`s but a friend did and it sounds the same so will be preying for you.
I have booked an app to have Tubal Patency test done (August 24) so hopefuly that will help or at least put my mind at rest.

Hi dea, af for me has been all over the place since I had the op 28/6/06 up until maybe the last 2 months. My cycle has been 33 days for May and June, af was only one day out for June so hopefuly it has begun to settle down. It`s so frustrating, you get your hopes up when she is late only to be let down when she arrives. One`s got to be positive though so keep spirits high.
when af come in may and again in june that was excatly 28days. so after the day af arrived do you stat again with the cycle.
Iv`e been reading a bit about this and yea I think that`s how it works. A 28 day cycle is most common I think but as long as af is about the same amount of days each month then that is taken as "regular".
It`s all a bit baffling for me too, I`m sure there are a lot of other ladies on this forum that would know the finer details.

Sushee.....I just wanted to ask you a question about your whole experince. You had your tube done after your third child and then had them reversed with no luck. Was there any other reasons why it took 8 goes to fall pregnant with the IVF treatment. May i ask how old you were when you were doing the IVF?????
em, yeh i am glad they are over too. bad going about the clomid- has anyone bothered to check your insulin levels or given you an ultrasound to check your ovaries and whether there are any follicles in them? are you having another patency test? after the ectopic the doctor told me to wait 6 months before having another one. i have been having problems too. had extremely spots of af last month and are due for af but nothing yet. will get checked out over these holidays find out whats happening. so what have they said about the ivf for you?

I hope you don't mind me being completely honest here, coz I've been reading everyone's posts and didn't feel like bringing down the mood.
Yes I did have my tubes tied after my third child, but I'd been pg 6 times in total before then. In addition to my three children, I also had had two terminations and 1 miscarriage. I was considered very fertile.
I had my reversal ('a complete success' declared the surgeon) and when nothing had happened in 12 months, we started investigations, including a HSG which showed that my tubes were completely scarred over. I went to see an FS and a fertility clinic and everyone was quietly confident that I'd be pregnant in no time. After all, I'd had children before and never had an issues falling pregnant.
By the time I started IVF, I was 35 and DH was 33. We had a good amount of eggs, over 95% fertilisation and everything seemed on track. But that cycle failed, and so did the following 6 other cycles.
No one could explain why we were not succeeding. We had our notes reviewed by the head scientist of the clinic, who also came back none the wiser. It was just bad luck, they said. IVF is not an exact science. There were no guarantees.
But perhaps it was because I knew that I could get pg that we kept trying, long after many would have given up. It cost us financially and emotionally, but we finally did conceive our miracle IVF baby.
So I guess what I'm trying to say is, no matter what the Drs tell you about your chances, and how they believe you to be the best case scenario, and they're confident etc, please go into IVF treatment with realistic goals, and be prepared for it not to work immediately. Then if it does happen fast, it's such a bonus. But if it doesn't, it won't crush you.
Hey sushee, wow what a story. I go for patency test on August 24 so will see what that brings. Hopefuly tubes are clear and it`s just timming but I`m not getting my hopes up and then find out they have scar tissue blocking them, which I hear is quite common after a length of time. I too had no trouble getting pg, I was on the pill with both my boys.
Thanks Sushee thats a great help. I guess its pretty much the same as my story, the only difference is the age which i dont think matters to much. My reversal was a great success too so the Dr tells me,but no babies so far. I had the HSG and i only have one working tube. Im very excided but im scared all at the same time. I look at your story and it brings me back to reality that it might not work.

age is a big factor when undergoing IVF, so it is most definitely a big plus for you. Mind you, at 35, I wasn't considered very old either, but definitely in a different demographic from you.
If you go into it with your eyes open and knowing that it might take a few goes to get pg, you're doing well and being realistic. I wish you all luck with your journeys. I did have a baby in the end, so not matter how long it took me, mine is still very much a happy ending.

There are different protocols, so there is not one answer for that qsn I'm afraid. It would depend on which protocol, which suppressant your FS uses, and what sort of progesterone support you're going to use.
