    Voltarin Rapid?

Last week I slept wrong and ended up with a huge knot in my shoulder.. After a week I had had enough so went to the Drs and she prescribed Voltaren Rapid. I took about 4 of the tablets but as they made me feel a little sick and my shoulder was a bit better I stopped

Now my shoulder is aching and tight again.. Is it ok to start the tablets again? I am also on Antibiotics for a sinus issue. (prescribed at the same time)

It will be ok to start the voltaren again. You could also use ibuprofen or naprosyn instead if they make you feel less ill. All three are anti-inflammatory drugs.

Thanks for your reply. I just took my Ab so will take my anti inflammitory after breakfast. I took it with a glass of milk the other day and I felt less sick.

Very good idea to take all NSAIDs with food - it's always on my prescription labels for my voltaren, but mine is a little stronger than the voltaren rapid.

my Ab's say before food and the Vr says with or after.. I always take any sort of tablet (vitamins inc) with food. and I make sure I have a large glass of water too

I hope the Vr work cus I am so sick of having a sore arm and shoulder.

its very important to take all anti inflammatories with food as taking them without food can cause erosion on the stomach lining leading to stomach ulcers.

have you thought about physio or a chiro for your shoulder pain?
