Am I the only one, or do others feel the energy / emotions coming from some posts? Sometimes I feel such an overwhelming surge of something when I read some posts... Sometimes it is the hurt and pain, other times it is an amazing sense of love and compassion...
I had it from a couple of posts recently really strongly... It was someone offering to help, and I was given such a surge of energy from the posts, I hope it got to the lovely lady it was sent to as well...
Some members certainly have a distinctive energy that comes through their posts.... whether they are are being supportive, in a good mood, bad mood etc their reality really comes through and makes the whole forum experience worthwhile. You don't have to be clever to allow your personality to shine through... just honest I guess... write in a way that you would speak... that really can make a supportive post extra caring. Also I find that if you can avoid using sms-type abbreviations in a post then the energy is stronger.
I agree, I think this is what most members are looking for: a real sense of human connection... not just a detached opinion or comment.
Yes i feel it and I also believe it's a level that we connect on when we're on the phone to other people, or even through letters, emails, etc. I *love* Christmas as I love getting cards people have sent that might only contain a couple of lines but you can feel the affection pouring off the cardboard!
BB is a very special place for that reason as it's energetically healthy and supportive and I believe it attracts people for that reason.
I love how each person brings a personality to the forums - it really is what you see is what you get. I have a lot of trust in BB, unlike some other places, that people are who they say they are. I definitely get what you mean.
Oh thanks girls. Good to know that I am not alone in what I get out of BB, and to know we are all "feeling the love". BB really is fantastic in that way! Thanks Everyone!!!
I tend to be an empathetic person & like the give & take of real life communication so it surprised me that it happens online as well, hence I am hooked.
I think I was guided here as well as I have been online for years now but never been on a forum before.
Oh Ruf - very definitely. There are just times you can feel the people you relate to just as well as in person. It just flows from the page and touches you. Good and bad, happy and sad.
I can also find the same person to person connections happen. You just meet the right people at the right time to work with your needs and emotions and support.
If there was ever any doubt about the connection - you can feel it in Dusty's journal so strongly...
Its those moments that you share with people you understand that make friendships and which touch the emotions so strongly. And having finally met a fellow BB... there is no difference talking IRL to here. Its the most amazing environment/community.
