Ok, so I dream a lot, and very vividly.

But for months now, very frequently (ie: more often than not, but not every night) in my dreams I become preoccupied with getting something out of my mouth. Sometimes it's chewing gum (with a consistency more like blue tack) other times it's little discs (rice cracker size) or oddly shaped pieces of plastic, or various other things, but I can never get it all out.

As in, I'll pull one of the discs out, but there's another ... and another ... and another ... etc.

Any ideas what on earth this means?

They're never stopping me from being able to breathe or talk or anything, but it's an unplesant sensation, so in the dream I generally stop doing whatever I was doing previously, and just keep and keep on trying to clear all of the whatever out of my mouth.

In a single dream, it's only ever the one type of thing in there, but it varies from dream to dream, and unless I wake up or there's a "jump" in the dream to another event, I will spend the rest of the dream trying to clear all the stuff out of my mouth, and I wake up with the sensation that there's still stuff in there.

Incidentally (in case you're wondering if there's an actual physical thing setting it off) I rarely chew gum (possibly once a month) and I never go to bed with anything in my mouth. I don't smoke or bite my nails or chew pens or anything like that, and as far as I'm aware, I don't actually have any concerns about stuff going in my mouth, if that makes sense ...

Thanks in advance, ladies...
