Question What the heck was this?

So I was driving to the gym last night, tis about a 25 minute drive, most of it along a pretty dark windy road.

I got to where there is a lookout, and I saw (because the road is lit a bit) that there was a black bird on the road. I couldn't slow down in time, and I couldn't swerve because I was going too fast, so I hit it.

Thing is, as soon as I hit it I heard a loud bird cry in my car - and then I felt as if I had been hit by something myself - my whole body just jolted and I swear my heart stopped beating for a second.

DH said that the bird would have already been dead (roadkill) because birds don't often come out of a night time, plus, they don't usually hang around on the road unless they are dead already. I didn't feel my car drive over it, but I'm guessing I must have - simply cos I couldn't swerve.

It freaked me out, and then on the way home from the gym, I kept on feeling like someone was in the car with me, and I was getting quite upset about it, because it just didn't feel right. I can't feel my guardian any more either since having kids - so I know it wasn't her, it just felt .. I dunno.. dangerous? Like I was in danger? It was a mild feeling until I hit the lookout again, and then from there all the way home I had chills, goosebumps, and just a feeling of ... well.. I was scared!!

What do you think it was?

Ooooohhh that gave me chills... hope someone has some answers, the only thing i can think of is somehow you are 'connected' with this bird or it's a representation of something and it's made you feel quite upset and uneasy.

Hunny I think this is one to be worried about, like a dark spirit.

Give your car a good clean inside and out and if you can avoid using that road then do so. I am picturing it as a windy Narrow road on the side of a hill? and I can see a broken barrier but not much else because it is a steep drop just over the barrier. If you do go on this road be extra cautious and keep an eye out. You might find someone just after an accident.

Maybe a warning, not to use that road?

Don't have a choice, its the only road into town.

Ali - yes it is a narrow windy road on the side of a hill.

Be really really careful hun. And make sure you always have your phone charged when you are on it. Maybe travel just under the speed limit and make sure you are alert.

Im still getting the creeps from this!!

The type of bird is holding a significance, a crow?

Dunno - it looked like a crow - but I'm not an expert on birds - I just say it was a crow cos it was black..lol

Dude it just gets weirder. I just walked up the street and nearly every single person I saw on the walk back - was wearing black. And they all had dogs. And most of the dogs were black.

This is really strange cos I hardly EVER see anyone walking into town...
