Awesome!
... because starting on Monday the 7th of March and continuing monthly, BellyBelly is bringing aboard the wonderful Dr. Diane McGreal, psychologist and trainer of miscarriage, grief and loss counsellors in organisations like Bonnie Babes. We'll be running a miscarriage and loss support group, in a live webinar - so you can have monthly support, check-in with each other and chat. The group will be run from 7.30pm-8.30pm AEST.
This service will be available to ALL BellyBelly members, not just our Platinum and Life Subscribers.
More details to come... watch this space.... I know you will find her support and the regular groups to be invaluable. She's a true gem.
In the meantime, if you have any issues, questions or topics you would like covered (i.e. suggestions for discussions) could you please email them to me so we can plan ahead. Email me at my first name, at bellybelly.com.au
Thankyou

Awesome!
This is an amazing idea! Just wondering if things like stillbirth, lateloss etc will be covered also (obviously not for me but others). A much needed support I think, thankyou Kelly.
Wow, that is a great idea.. Thanks Kelly![]()
Yep that's what she does. Everything that encompasses loss.

Well I'll definitely need to stop in, especially that first night! Thanks so much for this
Sent from my iPhone so forgive the speelung misstacks![]()
A friend who had a late loss is having difficulty joining in because at this time she doesn't want to hear from those who have had early miscarriages but does want to communicate with those who have been through late losses / stillbirth. Could one session be specifically for those affected by late loss/stillbirth/soon after birth.
Thanks
This is a wholesome idea, and I'm sure it will help some ladies for sure - but it is still no substitute for being able to access women who have suffered a true loss, and survived it, and oftentime gone on to have more children. I know from personal experience after loosing a husband when I was 33 and my one day old son who died suddenly and unexpectedly - I received counselling aplenty after both major losses, and it was notably insignificant compared to connecting with real people who have walked the traumatic path before you. So, I just hope this is not meant to replace the paml thread, especially given the two fantastic (and sadly firsthand experienced) moderators that were recently dumped. Yes, I'm still a bit gruff over this issue, and make no aplogies for that. I just have no time for the typical counselling textbook response, eg. "write your baby a letter and burn it".... this is not much support for the other 30 days of the month when you need a shoulder to lean on in the wee small hours. Despite all of this, I'm glad you are being pro-active in trying to replace this precious support for mothers who have lost a child, a support which seemed to come to a screeching and unceremonious halt last week.

Lee,
I have been in serious talks with Di since Lulu's death, and even before then, when I had the pregnancy centre in 2008, she approached me to run support groups there or do some sort of joint work with BellyBelly (I think Pinky McKay introduced me to her way back then), I think that was just before she started with Bonnie Babes which took up loads of her time, but I can't remember, so long ago now. So this was a long time in the making.
It's the first of many regular webinars BellyBelly will be hosting as of this year, with several experts. She just happened to be prepared first, the other few have been spoken to weeks ago. I can understand you feeling frustrated with not knowing what went on last week, and without wanting to bring this topic out in the air any further, I am afraid mod business is mod business, and there is much more to BellyBelly... and much more to come. So I will leave it at that and appreciate the same in return.
Just a forum isn't enough, just a forum and a support group isn't enough... but both are much better than none, and the more tools, the better. I am sure this will help many women.
