    these are probably dumb questions.....

OK so I got positive tests (2) last Monday (9/8) and the following two mornings had brown tinged CM - no biggie, had that in all three previous pregs.
Late last night I had pink tinged CM and woke up with a bleed this morning.
    So it's a chemical pregnancy.
    Right.
Today I had heavy (for me - it would probably be light to everyone else) bleeding this morning only. This afternoon hasn't even required a pad. There is a bit of bright loss when I go to the loo (which is about a thousand times already) and on the paper it's only pink.
There's a bit of cramping on and off but it's very mild - my sore throat is more of a hindrance.

    Does that sound normal?
Am I supposed to tell anyone or just ride it out? - my preference is for the latter but my M/c was at 12 weeks so it was different.

    Hi Kim,

If you're not sure what's happening you could go see your dr for advice and maybe blood tests to see if your HCG is rising. My understanding is that sometimes people get bleeding in pg and the pg doesn't work out...but other times it's just a bit of break through bleeding and the baby is fine. Bleeding by itself isn't always a clear sign of what's going on. Blood tests could give you more information and if it is just a chemical pg you could still choose to 'ride it out' without intervention. But at least you'll know what's going on. But if you don't mind the suspense and you don't feel unwell you could also just wait and see what happens with your symptoms in the next few days and then decide again. Good luck and hoping there is a sticky baby there for you after all.

I agree with Possum, I'd be getting my HCG levels checked. Don't forget, some women go through entire pregnancies without realising, and only find out when they go into labour! It's definitely possible - albeit extremely stressful - to bleed through your whole pregnancy.

Oh, I've got everything crossed for you hun

This sounds like the start of my first pregnancy. I also bled whenever af was due or after a lot of bending or lifting. It's probably a good idea to get the blood tests so you know for sure.

Kim, With this pgcy I had bled for about 3days, it wasnt heavy but enough to have me think I was losing my bub. I honestly thought I was m/cing. Turns out that bub was ok. Still not sure for the bleed though. May have been a break through bleed.
Go and get your hcg levels done today and get them checked again on Monday to see how they are. Maybe then you will have more of an idea on whats happening. I am praying for you that this is your little miracle. GL hun, Im thinking of you.

    Thanks for the support girls.
I thought I'd just do my last POAS before I rang the doctor for bloods to see if it was getting darker or not but it's completely gone. SO I guess the fat lady's sung on this one.
Really appreciate you all taking the time to offer support.

    Thank you.

First of all, when you have any question, especially concerning your health, it's never stupid to ask!

If you are worried, call your doctor. That's what they are there for. Stress is definitely NOT good for a healthy pregnancy, as I know too well. Besides, I think most docs would want to know if you're having any bleeding & especially if there was no cause such as sexual activity or heavy lifting.

During my 1st trimester of all three of my pregnancies, I'd have light spotting the day after or immediately after intercourse & that's total natural. Some women have spotting during the first trimester or even the entire pregnancy and go on to have a healthy pregnancy... but if there is even a question, I believe it's better to have asked! If nothing else, your doctor can offer you peace-of-mind.

    Good Luck!

Thanks for the reply Izz. Sadly for me it was a complete loss.

I too have had spotting in all of my pregs with 2 successful and now three not, so it's such a difficult time. You'd think by now I'd know just to do what my head said, instead of hanging on with all my heart

Kim, if it is any consolation I had a chem preg last month and got BFP this cycle. Apparently the first say of bleeding is first day of new cycle which worked for me, and I ovulated at normal time (CD19) this cycle Lots of babydust to you sweetie.
