Birthday/Angelversary ideas

In 5 weeks it would have been Anthonys 9th birthday, what family activities can we do to celebrate? It's still a tough day for me but Im sick of spending is birthdays mopping around.
Also I know its a little late but I want to collect something to buy on/around his birthday something to collect (preferably the same theme itms) but i can never think what.
How to you spend your angels birthday do you buy/collect anything for the years?

I planted a memorial garden. Since we rent, DP built a nice planter box for me and painted it white. Sorry I don't have more ideas than that. I'll be back later if I come up with anything else.

We planted a memorial garden for Nikita. I also have an ID charm bracelet with her birth/death dates on it and every year for her birthday I buy a new charm for it. I don't wear the bracelet, no one sees it. I keep it in her urn and the only time its removed is when I go and get a new charm for it.

Mum has some garden ornaments that represent my brother to her, she also has a rose plant for him and for my pop.
When she moved she couldn't take some of her old stuff so i suggested she buy something small that could possibly be moved inside if need be.

You could get yourself a bracelet hun, a charm for every year.
Collect cars, you know the ones you keep in a box, pop them on a shelf just for him?

If you don't want to collect "things" year by year, and just have them pile up, you could donate a toy to a children's charity. One you would have bought him for his birthday... I think that's what we might do with Xmas, we meant to last year but it was too painful to look at those things at that point
