Can you call emergency first to ask them about it? After my d & c, I was given a number to call if ther were any issues, and on day 3 when there was an increase in red blood, I called them, they were really helpful. Then they can at least give you some idea of how long the wait might be and whether it's worth it to go at all. For me, there was also the option that they make a gynae appt first thing in the morning. Didn't end up needing any of it, as it cleared itself up. But pick up the phone, defs easier than lugging a baby in there for heaven knows how long.

Stoked- I sent you a PM this morning and didn't realise my signature would show on it. Sorry if it seemed insensitive.

    Hi all,

Just thought i'd fill you in with what has been happening since my last post.

I went along to my GP on Monday and she put me on two lots of antibiotics. Later that night i had a MASSIVE bleed, i'm guessing i lost about 700-800ml. Raced down to emergency and they told me i would need ANOTHER d&c and a blood transfusion. Thankfully they called in the OB on call and she did a quick u/s and said that, as the bleeding had slowed down, that i could go home and come back for another u/s on a better machine in the morning.
This u/s found that i had a piece of retained product about 1.8cm x 0.9cm and also a few more blood clots. The doctors were hoping that my body would just get rid of it on it's own. This hasn't happened as yet so i'm having another u/s on friday. Hopefully there will be some good news. I've already had two d&c's this year and the doctor fears that another one may jeopardize my ability to have more kids. The thought of this makes me feel sick

    xx

    Stoked,
I have been thinking of you and hoping you were okay.
I am so sorry that you are going through all of this.
I really hope that things settle down for you soon. Concentrate on looking after yourself. If you need to have another D & C it will be for your health so you can look after your beautiful babies. There are risks but they are very small so, as hard as it is, just try and concentrate on getting though this, back to your healthy self.
I hope there are lots of people around you to give you practical and emotional support and I hope you can accept it (Hard for us to do sometimes)
Big hugs and healthy vibes coming your way.
    xx

I make a mean vege curry, Could keep kids company if you have appts etc, or just for a coffee and a chat.
Random stranger I know, but just in case any of these things might help

HELP! Is it normal to have pain after D&C for missed m/c?

Polly, thankyou.. You are so very sweet. I am very lucky to have great support around me, a very large family, awesome friends and a fantastic husband.
I had another bloodclot yesterday which was about the size of what the dr said was left so I am hoping it has all resolved itself. Will find out tomorrow when I have the u/s.

Thanks so much once again. Such a generous offer.

    Xx

Just thought i'd fill you in on whats been happening.

On wednesday i lost another blood clot, about the same size as what the Dr said could be seen on the last u/s.
I had another u/s on Friday and saw the Dr this morning and have been given the all clear! No more retained product!! I am sooo so happy! The Dr said we should be fine to start trying again in two more cycles. They could also see on the u/s that i am ovulating at the moment which means everything is back to working fine

Thankyou so much for being such caring, lovely people in my time of need.. I really do appreciate it xx
