How did you go at the doctor, did they give you something to help you sleep?
They didn't give me any sedatives. Just adjusted my pain meds slightly.
If I still have trouble sleeping I am to go back soon.
Are you getting any professional support (eg counselling) from anyone? Perhaps that could help more in the long run than sedatives. I struggled with a lot of depression for weeks after our mm/c and that was without losing a part of my own body. As much as it hurts, you need to work through the grief rather than hide from it. I can tell, even from here, that you're having a very hard time and I'd really encourage you to talk to someone, if you're not already doing so. I wish I could do more to help.
:grouphug:
If you want to try something talk to the pharmacist about what you are already taking and restavit and see if you can take together you don't need a script and they are great, just in idea if you don't want to go back to doctors at the moment. I feel for you and hope you get some rest soon babe xoxo
I will be seeing a psych after this all.
I might go speak to the pharmacist. Sleep deprivation doesn't help.
Update... Can't sleep again tonight. :-( need to book into psych and see Dr again asap.
Hey PP how are you? have you been getting some sleep yet, I hope so. I definitely think it is worth seeing a phsych when you are ready to talk things through and help you to digest everything.
Not really great hun. Thanks for checking up on me.
I will update when I can but a fair few things have happened during my recovery.
hope you are ok xo
I've been thinking of you too. Sorry to hear there have been other issues. Hope the worst is behind you.
Hugs pp, you are still in my thoughts too.
Sorry ladies. I'm getting there slowly. I had a lot of bleeding and clotting. The mirena was inserted while I was under the GA having the tube & pregnancy taken out.
My body was trying to expel it. I had to go to the ER of the same hospital because my GP couldn't find strings, the ultrasound showed it was malpositioned and yeah that's apparently why I was bleeding so bad, had so much pain and huge clots. I had it removed and a blood test taken to check my haemoglobin because I've lost a lot of blood over the past week.
It's also been really hard because I had busted my stitches in my belly button (by coughing) and it blooming hurts. I have to keep putting steristrips over it because it isn't quite closed... It hurts! and I'm still not allowed to pick my little girl up 1 week and 3 days down... About 2.5 to 3 weeks to go apparently according to the surgical team...
To put the icing on the cake... My sil is just over 13 weeks pregnant and I should be around 8.5 to 9 weeks, but instead I'm grieving the loss of my bubba... Didn't know if it was going to be a boy or a girl... Didnt have scans given to me... And grieving part of my fertility being taken away from me. Not to mention the physical aspect of healing from surgery. I keep getting text messages reminding me of that fact that she's pregnant still. :-( I don't want to put a downer on her pregnancy... But I can't keep going I've asked her to give me a bit of space and my mother in law too as they are both understandably ecstatic about her pregnancy so yeah...not much more I can do. Is there? Don't get me wrong, I'm happy for her and her DH, but I'm alowed to grieve my loss, aren't I?
Hugs and Love
Absolutely you are allowed to grieve, and I think they will probably understand at some level, I think telling them you need space was a good idea.
So so so sorry beautiful
be kind to yourself xox
honey you have the right to grieve as much as you need to. *hugs*
Thanks everyone for the support again xx
Suppose I'm just having a few bad moments today... Things better look up tomorrow. Exhausted from this all.
You have had a really tough recovery PP
I am sorry that you are facing the added grief of a loss while someone so close to you is celebrating a pregnancy. It is so so tough. I have been there and it hurts, hurts so bad :(
Do you eat meat? I can highly recommend making yourself a nourishing bone broth. This is what my naturopath recommended after my PPH and i was so so flat but that broth was amazingly reinforcing.
Much love and go gently with yourself, you are grieving loss and yes, you are allowed and should be given the space to grieve
PP you have not only been through this awful loss but to have the extra complication as well must have been so hard. I am glad they have figured it out and hopefully that side of things will mend soon.
I hope getting to talk with someone this week helps you a little.
Rest up and take care of yourself xoxo
