So, in Nov last year I had a mmc at 13 weeks and a subsequent d&c. My ob said to wait for 3 periods before ttc, which we have done. I've just got AF from our first month of ttc, and I'm upset as you can imagine, I so desperately want a baby brother or sister for my little boy to play with. He'll be over 3 yrs old by the time any next one is born, if one comes along, and I'm just so anxious that it never will. He's such a generous and gentle little boy and I just can't bear the thought of him being on his own. The thing is my cycles have been such different lengths since my mmc (33, 23, 27 and 19) and I'm worried that, well I don't know, that they won't return to normal again and I won't be able to give my DS a sibling. Has anyone else's periods been very random following a mc? And how long until they come back to normal? Am I likely even to have o'd with a cycle of 19 days?
I had the same issue, back in 07, mmc, d&c, then whacky all over the place cycles....ranging from 20-45...but I did eventually get PG with DS after 6 months TTC (and the help of some OPK's)
I just had a blighted ovum last month, then d&c....still waiting for first af from that, so we will see if things are the same again...
that being said, ever since that first mc, then even after DS birth, my cycles have been screwy, not as much but still anywhere from 25-35 days...I saw my gp about further investigations etc, due to TTC for over 2 years, her suggestion was to go on the pill for 3 months to "regulate" my cycles, I was considering it but then fell pg with the last one...
sorry, probably not much help, but yes, I do think its relatively normal.
