Not sure if I'm allowed to post this link, or even if it will work, but I wanted to share a close friends beautiful angel with you all.
We lost her at 6 days old to Trisomy 13.
On Wednesday she'd have been celebrating her 9th birthday.
I remember at her funeral we were given a booklet. One of the poems in it said something along the lines of her being a borrowed angel from Heaven sent down to beautify the world.
I would like to find something along those lines to send to my friend. A nice poem of some sort. After having the booklet for years I can't find it. I really wanted to use one of the poems in it to show her how much I care.
I had one of my faves written down in a little black book. I have a feeling I threw it out just a few weeks ago when we moved
This is one of the beautiful poems read at her funeral :
God's Most Precious Gift
A baby was created
by the hand of God above
To give the world
the sweetest touch
of tenderness & love
With the softness of a whisper
God made a baby's skin
And then designed 2 trusting eyes
to put the starlight in.
With giggles from a waterfall
and breezes passing by
God made a baby's laughter
and a tiny, sleepy sigh.
God made the world a precious gift
more dear & pure then gold
With little toes to play with
and tiny hands 2 hold
And, wrapped in sunshine ribbons
with a rainbow's pretty swirl
Brought down to earth the wonder
of a tiny baby girl.
