natural mc but still have pain - is it cramping or something else?

Last Thursday I started to mc at 5weeks 3days and the bleeding got pretty heavy by Friday. I had clots and the works. By Saturday morning I ended up in hospital due to the pain and passed out on the way there so was rushed through as the hospital thought it could possibly be ectopic. Was very scary being semi-conscious and having doctors yelling and calling out "categories" over the PA system about me so that wasn't great. I had a few US and an internal and my bloods dropped from 580 on thursday to 96 on saturday morning so they determined not ectopic and held me in overnight for obs and as my BP was very low.

I'm home now but I still have discomfort in my belly. The doctors seemed to lead onto that I should not have any pain now as I've pretty well stopped bleeding with the exception of minor spotting. The discomfort almost reminds me of having an upset belly.

Anyone else experienced this?

I am really sorry that your have had a MC and such a scary time too. I had some cramping after my first MC for a day or too. I still got checked out though incase I had retained anything. Maybe you should get checked again too if it continues.

I'm sorry for your loss. When I had a natural m/c I continued to have some lower pelvic pain which turned out to be some inflammation. I had to have antibiotics so I think it's a good idea to seea GP.

So sorry that this has happened to you I would be thinking that it could possibly be a bit of retained product in there and you can't pass it. Did they say after the scans that there was anything left in there or had it already been passed? if it doesn't improve I'd try to get another scan to make sure
