Well after a dream run with our first IVF cycle it all came crashing down on Tuesday at our first doctors appointment. I was expecting everything to be fine as I had heaps of symptoms. I had a lovely doctor, thank goodness. The baby should have been 10 weeks but stopped growing in the 8th week. So it was a big shock as everything was fine at the 7 week ultrasound.
Realistically I know that the stats for miscarriage at my age are over 40% but things had gone so well and I was really confident and have thrown out all my IVF stuff! So we go back for one last try and then perhaps look at using donor eggs.
I am so very sorry for the loss of your little miracle bub. Stats cant take away the longing you have for a baby or the pain you feel when you have lost one. I hope that you can get through this difficult time, and allow yourself to grieve and let your body recover.
